Oh,
You do realize your looking down the pistol scope in Crysis? It really doesn't really help your case. Try harder not to flatter yourself next time, if your familiar with bookmarking then you would know how easy it is to recall pages, knowing you would eventually respond with something completely wrong, I had already prepared a response to what I knew you were going to say.
Also, no, that grass is not from a mod, it's vanilla material. Proof here:

In this one forum alone there are multiple threads of people that were able to unpack the high res textures that are already present on the Crysis 2 disk, but for whatever reason were not made active for the commercial PC version.
It's on some random blog on the internet so it must be true.
dont waist your time BTW i proved they are textures from a mod
Don't 'waist' your time doing what? LOL, providing pointless speculation on a factual comparative? Did you even read the image description? I'm not sure if your options are set up correctly, or if your prone and zooming in on the ground in Crysis, but it definitely says thats the Crysis 1 grass texture in Crysis 2
So they get nitpicky, ignore improvements to graphcis (the so little there are), and focus on the negatives. I mean once the patches and updates finish coming, their mouths will be shut.
Actually Silent, this thread is about textures, so... I mean, other threads already touch on all other points, so does this thread about textures need to have, HDR and lighting comparatives in it?
Our mouths might be shut when they update with the features that should have been included in the final commercial release version (except for all the other bugs this game has that aren't graphical). But the fact that people HERE are already able to unlock the higher res textures and features that are already on the disk but not active is, well, it's just bad. Even if EA games said: "Hey, we need the PC version done tomorrow.", Crytek would have been able to switch on the features ALREADY ON the disk pretty easily methinks, maybe like in 3 minutes?
Or just revert to an earlier build that did have the higher res textures in them.
