This game lacks standards on the PC release.

Honestly, I don't see a good sign for gaming in general if games are going to be released on launch day in the state Crysis 2 was given to PC gamers. Features such as DX11 were very transparent with the community, and even though the technicalities of the way they announced DX11 support on the game was correct with how they are going to give it to us "eventually", it is not something that I've seen games do in regards of patching a new game path. Several other games such as Shogun 2 are following this path and even if they were good games, it still isn't morally correct. It saves a lot of grief that the community and the company is having right now if they were more honest with what product they would be giving to consumers. In a sense, the game was completed for consoles but this is not what a completed game looks on the PC. If they can give a complete satisfactory game for the consoles, shouldn't we, PC gamers, be entitled to a completed satisfactory game on the PC, not for consoles?

Some of the features such as unlocked game console commands and Sandbox 3 were things that were found as standards that the company set for themselves with previous releases. Based on the developer's leak of the game, these features all worked and could easily be put in for the PC. Failing to achieve even these baselines and making them available on launch is very detrimental and doesn't indicate a good path in terms of where the company is headed. Quality assurance was also non-existent in the game as the multitude of bugs that plague both modes are enough to cripple the experience and make the game unplayable to people. Their maxim of "Maximum Game" did not apply in the case of this game.

Honestly, things such as advanced graphics options have been part of the conformity that has made the PC platform what it was, and Crytek decides to pull the rug from under us on even the most basic of things? I have no doubts that they have heard us and these fixes "may" be coming but there is also a lack of response from the company itself and while they can say that "if we didn't announce it, it isn't official", I have yet to see any sign of what issues they may fix in the next patch or if they will make the game more nerfed than it is now.

There is a lack of any responsibility and it makes me want to doubt the next purchase that will be made by you. Honestly, if Crytek was to break standards in a negative fashion in the eyes of the PC community, I would say that it certainly deserves its fair share of negativity and criticism until they can start admitting and fixing the wrongs they have committed towards us. The only way that we can oppose this kind of practice is if a significant amount of people cast their economic vote and criticize the company to reverse this practice. I blame both EA and Crytek with this game's launch and if they want to move away from what standards have been established by the industry and by them, they can be sure that they won't receive my money.

At least Sega gave an approximate date for DX11 in Shogun 2 and it explained the reasons for delay. They also have advanced graphics options.

Japan was also struck by an Earthquake which gives Sega a certain amount of goodwill in the bank even if it doesn't have any real delaying effect on the patch.

This. I had no problems with S2TW tho. At least it delivered what was promised. But C2... Will be the last game I bought from EAtek, unless it's mp and modding revolutionize it somehow. I can accept they made a nanosuit spinoff instead of a real sequel. That's the way it goes. But I can not accept how broken it is for a paid product and the **** we were fed with.

Edit:
At least Sega gave an approximate date for DX11 in Shogun 2 and it explained the reasons for delay. They also have advanced graphics options.
They also have *PC gameplay* and a unique style which crytek gave up on C2 gameplay, making it a spinoff.
