This problem has plagued this game. The servers crash and don't restart.
Seems like i get into 1 game in 10 that actually starts. The beta-Pirate servers use a Bat file to auto-restart, seems like a regular restart on the hour script would help get some games going till they fix it properly.

The problem is that there are *some* servers that do not work and many that work. the reason for *always* joining the not-working servers is that the working ones are FULL or EMPTY, and the not working ones are hard fluctuating. Almost everyone will join a nonworking server, because they have free slots.

and here is how to solve this:

when on a non-working server lobby chat with the players also stuck there and add them as friends. then ask them to follow you. you leave the non-working lobby and join a empty ranked server with good ping. if 2 or 3 ppl follow you, you will have a ranked match in 1 to 5 minutes. after you have 4 ppl on your server, it will nearly-instant be full because others looking for a working game are joining, because there are already 4 ppl :). i did that 2 times and it ALWAYS worked great!

ps: you may also add me: rawsome23, so i can invite you if you are online and stuck next time :)

That sounds awesome if you want to spend a decent 30 minutes getting into a game. And no, not all empty servers are working servers...

well, i have already spend 20 minutes joining and leaving servers to finialy find one that works. the method above takes 10 minutes (4 min adding friends and chatting, 2 min joining empty server, 4 min till its full) and did work well so far. but it may be true that not all empty servers are working, thats what the "favorites" function is for :)
