So true man. I'm depressed with what happened in the original Crysis multiplayer...just so much wasted potential. All the problems and bugs in the vanilla version pissed parts of the community off to the point where they just decided to quit. Dedicated fans stuck around and were greeted with rushed patches that only further broke the game more. It's truly baffling with the things that happened because Crytek kept screwing around with so many unnecessary areas (even nerfing parts of the suit IIRC).
Crysis Wars was just more fail piled on because not only did it have it's own share of problems, but it fractured the community...again. Why? Well, it was basically a seperate game. People were ultimately forced to either stick with the original multiplayer game and all it's serious problems, buy Wars or simply move on. I (like the other extremely dedicated fans) actually ended up getting Wars, hoping that things were finally set right. You can only imagine my own extreme disappointment when I found that there were things which actually became worse. I ultimately moved on due to the reality of things - the game was now just a mere shadow of it's former self.
The multiplayer in Crysis 2 has some good aspects, but it's changed so much that you'd believe it was a different series entirely (based off the demo). It just feels like a fast paced, spammy corridor shooter with the nano-suit nerfed even more in many ways (there is nice new features though, such as some basic parkour). I'm unlikely to stick around for the multiplayer and merely just play the game for it's single player (when it comes down in price).
