I Have A Working Fix For The Network Connectivity Error!!!

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 12:00 pm

I was getting this error every time I tried to log into multiplayer. So I started experimenting with my network settings and this is what I found out works. Haven't gotten the error since I did this. I've logged in over ten times in the past several hours without a problem. Also, after performing this fix, all servers are working with no problems for me.

!!!WARNING!!! I only have proof that this works if your trying to login and play on a wireless connection and only if you are using Vista/Windows 7!

Here's what you have to do. I'll try to be as detailed as possible:

1. Open Control Panel and go to "Network And Sharing Center."
2. In the left hand column, click on "Change Adapter Settings."
3. Locate your wireless adapter and your LAN adapter/Ethernet port.
4. Hold down CTRL and click on each of these. They should now both be highlighted.
5. Now right click on one of them and select "Bridge Connections."
6. After the Network Bridge is created, open Crysis 2. You should now be able to login and play with no issues.

Hope this helps! Let me know if any further detail is needed or if the fix is not working for you.

If you go to the Change adapter settings menu, is your local area connection the only network adapter there?

The reason anyone will just have the LAN connection is because they don't use wireless. So you can let the person you replied to know he can't use your fix.

Not so! I have 2 different local area connections, a wireless adapter (internet source), the Microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter, and a bluetooth adapter. If he has any other adapters in his system then they may be compatible with this fix.

I was speaking strictly about people that DON'T have wireless. You do have wireless. By the way, what makes you think bridging connections with anything but the wireless would fix it?

I don't know that it would. But it doesn't hurt to try.

Bumped again so others that have this problem can see it and hopefully fix it so they can play some multiplayer.

My connections are already bridged and I'm still getting this error. Obviously its a fault at Crytek's end.

Thats very strange. Mine only works when I bridge my wireless to my unused LAN port. If I un-bridge them, I get the network connectivity error and no multiplayer.
