Oh yeah, the game can be a lot of fun, but that doesn't make this situation better, it makes it worse.
In a post on the game's official web site, Crytek states, "Rest assured that although the demo does not have these features installed, our team has been working for some time on various anti-cheat measures that have been introduced for the retail release of Crysis 2."
You want a list of things that aren't in the game that are suppose to be there, I could go on for literally days with a list. Anti-Cheating being one of them, it's not so much that anti-cheating measures haven't been taken even though thats true, but that Crytek has been so bad about making its customers feel optomistic about this game, that there isn't even a single STICKY thread in the forum about reporting Fraudulent activity or anything. NOTHING! Not only are they not doing anything to remove cheating from the game that I can see, they are actually incuraging it!
How? Well, for one thing the only way for an admin to remove a cheater is to shut down their entire server. I've seen this done so many times its sad. Not only that, but in order for an owner of a server to be able to kick a player or ban them, is if they BUY, let me repeat that, BUYYYYYY a program called Admin Tools. So it makes it seem as though Crytek has acutally got people working for them, going around cheating so that servers will want to buy their Admin Tools to remove them. How much more repulsive could it get, all the customers want is some kind of hope that this game will be saved from having to be thrown in the trash but there are no signs that I can see so far. I work in marketing and if I only worked for this company I could have gotten them not only a much larger fan base, but created ways that this game could bring in millions of more customers than it will due to all the bad publicity the company is getting for these very simple mistakes.
