Is Crysis 2 a dumbed down peice of crap that needs cancelled

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:55 am

I'm thinking about picking this up but I keep hearing it's an inferior game with "press start" "do you want to adust your tv" and "auto aim" along with no graphic options and inferior graphics to the original game with DX9, that and crytek are big fat sellouts.

Is this true?

Jezzus..the game is fun. It has somethings better than the old one, some things not. And no, it doesn't have all the graphics options the old one had (from what I can see) but as a trade off you can play the game without lag at any point. So there are tradeoffs.

The only really valid complaint I've heard about this game and others is that the most lasting part, i.e. multiplayer, is broken. I do think releasing broken games has to stop, even it eventually comes to legal action. I just don't think there is any law against releasing crap. And you don't know it's crap till after you bought it. But I would be more inclined to blame EA than Crytek even for that. I would think the developers would want to release the best game they could; but business decisions will almost always win over creative ones. And make no mistake, gaming is just a business. They want to make money. If given the choice between making you happy and making money, they will almost always choose the latter.

As for this game, I bought it for single player, so I'm pretty happy. The only bug I've run into is that I've completed everything and it still says I have only 12/13 weapons attachments. Kinda svcks, but I'm not gonna scream and pout about it as I'm sure it will be fixed. However, if you are buying this mostly for mulitplayer, then yea, you probably want to wait a while. I'm sure all of this will be fixed (except the graphics part..I'm not at all sure they consider that broken).
