Guys he's talking about the refresh rate the game is running at, it's got nothing to do with vsync or not.. and I gave him his solution
V-Sync locks your framerate to the same as your refresh rate to stop screen tearing. It's completely related.
Not to his question though.
He asked why the game was running at 60Hz, not why it wasn't synced vertically.
He wanted to run the game at 120Hz, turning v sync on or off will do nothing to help him achieve this.
I incorrectly assumed that V-Sync will always lock you to 60FPS. Disabling it would release the lock and allow the game to run 'faster'.
