EA Serious About PC?

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 4:48 am

I just saw a TV AD for Shift 2 and the footage was captioned "actual PC Gameplay". I don't watch TV all that much but this is not how they normally do it right? Normally it's either entirely cut scenes or it's console game play (typically meaning cut scenes rendered using the game engine).

At any rate am I right in thinking that PC Gameplay footage is not normally shown on TV? So bothering to actually advertise the PC version seems like a new play from EA (I can't be bothered thinking of way to say that the doesn't ryme).

Shift 2 was developed for PC because it's awesome like that and we should all go play that and ignore Crysis 2 for now. Just like BF3 is being developed for PC. Shift 2 supports DX11, so will BF3, and when Crysis 2 is released for PC that too will have DX11.

Shift 2 is 2 sh1t imo :) GRID is a ton better..

And where did you hear Sh1t 2 is DX11? I'm pretty sure it isn't, it's just another console port mate.

EDIT: DX9 only
