No Models? Interesting Situation, HELP

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:17 am

Hello everyone, I have a very interesting situation that has to do with my Crysis 2 that I hope can be solved!
I preorded Crysis 2 for EADM download, and when it came out I downloaded it over a period of several days due to my bandwidth limit at my school. At one point the download reset itself (possibly because of a patch.) I downloaded the file, restarted my computer, and I could not get Crysis 2 to start, so what I did was check the bin32 folder (I run on Windows 7 64bit, and saw that all the files ending in .exe, had a little "_" symbol at the end. So I changed all of the files to .exe and Crysis 2 played, I started the Single Player campaign to find that when I played there were no models. I could hear what was happening, the two marines talking, and some particle effects, but for every model was a blue ball. Could this be some issue with 64bit? When I click on GameData.Pak it tells me that files may be corrupt or something. I would very much like this situation fixed, any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Two theories.

One.. you shouldn't change the files to exe. Screws everything up.

Two.. corrupt download due to your bandwith. Download again. I'd do a restore point.

Oh also.. the game is only 32bit. There is no 64bit in the game right now.

The _ is usually a placeholder for a partially downloaded file, so you're probably playing half a game right now...

Sorry about this but it was just too tempting:

Lol, I'd do the redownload, but when I go to uninstall it, the game is not in my list of installed programs, this presents a problem for me, any ideas?

Why do you need to uninstall it if it's not installed?
