Finally played this "mess" last night in 3d....

WOW! Great job Crytek!

I finally got my PC version in the mail and started the SP in 3d last night. I've been playing on the PS3 and loving it while I anxiously awaited my PC version. Coming from the highly modded Crysis days, I can easily see how this is claimed a port from consoles. However, 3d in full 1920x1080 Extreme setting @ 40-50fps on one 5870 is simply great! Yea most of the textures could be higher res, but overall everything just goes together to make one awesome game. As I was playing, I thought back to vanilla Crysis... THANK YOU CRYTEK!! I really felt like I was playing Crysis in a city. This game really isn't too far off (except the amount of destructable objects) of vanillia Crysis on my system @ the same frame rate. Yeah Crysis can look much better, but the framerate suffers when doing so. I was very pleased with the performance I got out of Crysis 2 without crossfire! I can't wait for AMD/Crytek, or whoever, to work out the Crossfire flicker issue. With the performance I'm currently seeing, I believe Crytek has PLENTY of room to add all kinds of nice things to the PC version for us. Just stop whining and enjoy the game for what it is, good things may come.

Thanks to Crytek for all your hard work over the years. This is the best game on PS3, in my opinion, and is only topped by a highly modded Crysis on PC! Great job guys! I'm anxious to see what you can do now with the PC version in the months to com. This is one pleased customer (twice over PC and PS3), only to be VERY pleased when you guys make my system beg for mercy with a massive texture/dx11 update! ;)

Thanks Crytek!

Keep dreaming.

Umm... Ok. Have you played at those settings?? I'm guessing not. Yes, the game has it's bugs, but they aren't bad enough to totally destroy what a fun and good looking game this is as a whole.

Please find another thread for bashing. If nobody feels the same, this thread will die. No worries, just shows the unappreciation of the PC community towards Crytek for thier hard work, and that's NOT what I'm doing in this thread. Thanks.

Sarcasm? If not..

I put this line in my system.cfg file: r_stereosupportAMD=1
That enables 3d on ATI/AMD cards (5k and 6k series I believe)
I 'enable' 3d, then choose 'side-by-side'
My TV will convert the side-by-side to stereo 3d for use with the shutter glasses

That's how I did it.

I like how you credit cry tek for doing such a great job, but then you had to go into config files and change things around to get it to work.

Now that you finnished the single player, move on to multiplayer. Good luck with that.

Only had to add that one line, so it wasn't that bad.

Just started SP, so I still have a good chunk of time to let them work the kinks out of MP. If they can't or don't, that's why I have the PS3 version for the MP.
