Solved: Please explain.

Ok, so I just bought this from Steam, takes a few hours to download and when I finally get to load it up. I start the SP campaign to get the hang of the engine again.

After the news/video etc I wake up in the transport, alone. There's game dialog but no NPC's around me. When I'm finally able to move I get to the part falling through the ship where I'm meant to assist in opening the door but nothing happens because there's no NPC to start the trigger.

Is there a specific reason why the game doesn't work?

What the hell?

Also, I thought I was missing something at first, I looked up a walkthrough to see what the hell I was meant to be doing, and thats how I found out there's meant to be NPC's.

Wow, AI Cloak engaged! (sorry, poor taste!)

Can you please post up your game.log from your main Crysis2 directory? It may show some relevant errors.

Thanks!

Nothing was coming up through the console. I couldn't find a way to the actual game folder, Steam hides the game files and I just can't remember where -.-

New screenshots should be in the links of OP

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\steamapps\common\crysis 2

or if you're running a x64 bit computer:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\steamapps\common\crysis 2

That's where the "game.log" is. (At least, if you bought the game from Steam)

Actually, at least on my comp, it's just in a steam folder, so like this:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\crysis 2

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crysis 2

Speaking of explain...
When do we get an official statement from crytek for the release of this fully broken game on so many different levels. Cry-Adam?

its not nice to say broke game i played singleplayer till the end, and did not had 1 single issue totally nothing

if it was the game wouldnt i had problems also?

i bet 50% if game related and 50 % is player related

people changed cfg files, tryed to improve things themself, overclocked hardware, and more.

but then its easyer to blame crytek, then themself.

As soon as you make a statement on why you're fully such a douchebag on so many different levels. The games not broken, it has a few bugs drama queen.

Something like: "sorry, we messed up" ??
It's not the first game that releases unfinished. And getting some feedback like "we are aware of .... and are investigating...." is pretty much the same. How long would it take YOU to check 2.3 million lines of code/text for errors? You know how much 2.3 million is? Multiply it with the many millions of different hardware configurations PCs can have and you get a number of possibilities that's more than mind blowing. Does that explain anything to you?
