Crysis 2 too easy?

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:27 am

Hey,

Anyone else here think it's far too easy on MP? I tried playing Instant Action to ramp up the difficulty but even my worst game is 25-10.

The only time I feel I have a challenge is when I have a bad host. Considering I can't play objective games as no-one plays the objective makes the game limiting, for me.

Anyone else feel there are far too many bad players on this game?

This feels like a "man I'm just too awesome" thread.

No offense.

But most of the time I feel like I'm just trading kill for a death, as I get shot in the back, spawned on, or some random guy in stealth in the corner.

I agree it was easy. once you get the hang of Stealth , plus stealth enhance and nano recharge. You pop two, go into hiding. Rinse repeat. But effective as in easy doesn't mean a bad game.

Is easy but thats because the nano suit is just that good :P.

Not for nothing im pretty sure they shouldve tried to discourage stealth overuse in this game instead of reward it. Wouldve made it a better game.

Well. I find it they did a good job with it. I mean if they discourage stealth in supersoldier. It would have turned intoa tedious. Shoot one... drain shields or w/e back into hiding. Find spot to exploit rinse and repeat.

I would have however done some things differently.

- I think there should have been level's or awareness. Not simply take down everyone with nobody noticing. Splinter cell conviction tried to do this... somewhat effective. But
Constant communication between enemies, aliens or cell no matter. They should have a pattern. Every 30 seconds report back to central. If you cut someone off while they are reporting everyone goes on high alert. Nobody goes nowhere alone, they bring out reinfocements and the big guns. Something to tell you. "you want to use stealth... go for it, but once you do you better hurry the fudge up and capitalize on your element of surprise" coz once that report doesn't come in your in dip shiz even if they dont see you.

So not agreeing with "discouraging" stealth. But certainly improve AI so that you can use stealth, and those trully good at it can capitalize those few seconds between reports to take out as many as possible.

-Also more snipers def. If you get caught in the open and you manage to evade the grunts, snipers should be all over u making your life hell.

-But to all this it would mean your armor has to be improved.

I think he was meaning specifically the multiplayer, not so much the campaign.

You either have a really good connection, or you're host all the time.

Currently with a gamebattles, we've only played one game and won and we have another tonight so we will see how it goes.

My connection is 1.75 down, 0.51 up according to speedtest, so it's not that good.

I get host perhaps 1/7 games.

Makes no difference whether I have host or not as long as the host is good. I currently have a KD of 2.84, which is legitimate. What I mean is that I got it by playing TIA and IA, I very rarely play objective games so I don't pad my stats. Reason I don't play objective as I don't like getting killed over and over again being the one catching the CS or Relay and no-one helping.

You sound like an idiot trying to get some attention. Get over yourself, you're probably just laggy as hell. "Oh my god, I rock, no one can kill me, I'm that good....blah blah blah." A Lan party would own you.

LOL, then you can't boast about stats if you don't even play objective gametypes. You can go out and say you have a big K/D and whatever it is but only after you've played Crash Site or Capture the Relay or Assault with random teammates.

Now, I could have sat around mowing people down all day in Team Instant Action too but I prefer to play objective as well, and not just one portion.

I might sound like an idiot trying to get some attention but I'm not.

People can kill me, it happens often. It's just that I eventually win. I have won over 80% of IA games, the other 20% are due to all types of variables like other players skill, lag etc.

I might sound like Im bragging but Im not. I played with 6-7 of my clan members tonight and they agreed that pub stomping is far too easy, no challenge whatsover.

Why can I only go out and say that I have a high KD only after playing objectives? My KD is almost entirely based on TIA and IA. That takes skill, alot more skill than going for kills on Crash Site. That means that I can consistently outplay someone else that has the same simple goal as me, kill the enemy. They are not cheap kills.

I will admit I'm not a good objective player, I'm a "slayer". That's why I play the aforementioned modes primarily. I don't go out and p*** on everyone's parade going for kills like 70%+ of the players I see on objective gametypes to pad their KD. Give me some credit for at least that.
