After 90 minutes of single-player action on my 360 I cannot load my saved game. I get a blank screen. Does EA give refunds?

Yes, within 60 days of purchase I believe, but from what I have been told, you send them your copy and they send you out a sealed, new copy for you to return to the retail outlet, which really isn't fair if it is true. Try the EA site for more info.

Perhaps you could delete your save file and start over.

Maybe that might work?
