My game has froze up a few times as well.

---Possible Spoilers----

The first time is on Mission 4 (Lab Rat) where you had to fight the helicopter in Gould's lab. I got killed by the helicopter's missiles and when the game re-loaded the level....it froze up. After I turned my Xbox 360 off and back on and then tried to restart from my last save point....the game would just freeze up after the level loaded up. I went to the mission select and selected the mission, that I was on, then it worked fine again.

Anyways, it seems like others are having freezing problems as well. I really hope that the development team will look into this and fix the problem(s) as soon as possible.

+1 on that , I have not played through the level again though. This happened me randomly twice, but booting back in worked. On the Lab rat mission, the freeze is total and needed a level restart.

I am torn between returning the game for the fast return deal in Game, or wait for a patch.
option 1 seems to be the best one. As fantastic as this is the truth is that I cannot handle locking , sticking and crashing on console. I returned Mirrors Edge for the same reason.

I get the same thing in the same spot. I walk up those steps and it fades to black and freezes. It happened to me twice yesterday and twice today, same spot. I installed it to me hard drive also. I have the xbox 360 slim


That happen to me to. How do i fix this promblem?

I got 1.2 GB free on my Xbox flash drive. I am using Xbox 360 Arcade.

Had this happen to me yesterday. I quit the game shortly after the first encounter with the alien at the crash site and that checkpoint. After selecting Resume it loads that checkpoint and the screen immediately dims and freezes and that's it. I need to shut the console off and if i hit Resume again, I get the same result.

Figuring I just need to roll back and replay the mission from the start. Other than this rather large and frustrating bug, so far the game has been pretty cool. It's a shame.

HEY!! I just received a game updates via XBL for Crysis 2!! Maybe it's the patch for this freeze issue!!

So after playing 90 mins the game has frozen on me and when I restart all I get is a black screen.

Have I just wasted my sixty bucks????

Mine froze once close to the end of "Dead Man Walking", after you enter the CELL building, kill those 4 guys at the elevator lobby and press the security console. Right after i pressed said console "BAM", screen full of weird colours. A fear of the dreaded RROD came to me (would by my third...) but no. Rebooted the system and voilá, everything was peachy from there on.

Iknow its bull Im in under a bridge after the first alien encounter and then i walk(fight) to the end go througha door have a mini flashback then BAM frozen turkey no xbox guide.. NOTHING. so i went in and got a new copy in the local game store and what do you know the exact same **** and yes ive installed it and uninstalled same old same old. and is there a patch comming out cus theres already been one?

This is happening to me as well, but even hard restart doesn't fix it. Every single time I try to resume my campaign (Lab rat chopper battle), games freezes and I have to restart manually. If anyone's figured out a way to bypass this, please post. Otherwise, need a patch...

Yes, The game froze at least 3-6 times during my play-through on Veteran which resulted in me having to reboot the console each time it occured.

I managed to finish the game though so it's all good.

Multi-player hasn't frozen on me yet though.. which is interesting.

i have theese problems in both modes.in multiplayer I was on a 12 kill streak and my game froze. The audio was still playing put the frigging picture froze i was like WOW WTF. in campaign it happens like every hour or so svcks but nothing you can do

I have not been able to get passed "Lab Rat" I find that if I die in the level then get past the chopper and die again, after reloading the checkpoint the game freezes. I can only power down 360.

older 360 with 60gb HDD
crysis 2 installed onto the HDD
NAT setting opened and properly set via the router and a WIRED network connection.
I had even went through and cleared the cache from the 360.
After reboot and resuming campaign it will immediately freeze!!! So I started from the beginning of the chapter and made it all the way past the chopper without dying... then when I get up the stairs where the 3 CELL operatives are chilling I get killed and sure enough, restart to check point and it freezes... Their is also a few times where the screen went black and I had to restart 360. THIS IS **** ANNOYING< GAME IS SO SICK AND ALL I WANNA DO IS PLAY THE CAMPAIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
