CRYTEK - CAN WE PLEASE HAVE SOME INFORMATION

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 6:14 am

Enough is enough.

This game has had long enough for a patch.

I believe we deserve and fully need Crytek to stop sitting on their hands with this total joke of customer service and give us information.

WHAT IS HAPPENING??

YOU'RE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE ONLINE, THE LAG IS UNREAL.

I'm refraining from swearing and profanity, but you're lack of respect for you're customers is pathetic.

Talk to us.

I'm running 30 Meg Broadband (Fibre Optic) and my connection is wired.

I have no problems whatsoever with any other FPS (Homefront had initial problems, but they PATCHED it and it's fine), Killzone 3, Homefront, Halo Reach, Battlefield Bad Company 2 - All fine. Only Crysis 2 performs pathetically.

And to answer the other question, I'd like to know from any member of Crytek the latest on the patch details which of course should address the Lag and Hit Detection problems.

Again, Crytek, please end this shambolic customer service and give us some information.

The lag problems are terrible... and we're not talking normal p2p lag. They can help alleviate the problem by introducing an effective local search. I don't think that'll be a miracle cure, but at the very least it would offer a slight improvement. The other problem is the game does not select hosts very well at all. Sorting that out would be a great help.

If you're with Virgin Fibre Optic then I'm afraid they're notoriously bad for online gaming. With gaming it's not about the speed, it more about quality. ie. ping times/jitter/packet loss. Virgin Fibre Optic often doesn't fair well with those tests. I pay more for my broadband as it's tailored specifically for gamers. It's nowhere near as fast as Fibre Optic but the line quality is much better.

Any issues in Crysis will only be amplified by poor ISPs. Though regardless of your ISP, Crysis 2 is still completely messed up.

I'm sure that 30 Meg Fibre Optic (Wired) should be more than enough to run Crysis 2.

But as you admit, Crysis 2 is messed up regardless of ISP.

This is why Crytek need to address this with a patch but their shockingly bad customer service (ie communication) is abysmal and worrying.

Think you'd have a better chance of GOD responding to this thread than a crytek employee with information.
