Reboot or No Reboot?

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:43 am

So I just ended leveling, which was my goal. Now, in between GoW3 Beta, I need a new goal... Do I go for the 10,000 kills dog tag? Or let my hard earned kills disappear with a flip of a switch?

EDIT: Forgot to add that I only need 4,400 kills for the dog tag...

I did reboot and dont really regret it, only because I was starting to get bored of not having anything to look forward to after each game since all my favourite modules and weapons were fully leveled up. It did wipe my kills and kd bit of a shame but I did get siginificantly better and wanted to see what my true K/D and win ratio would be now that I am better.. My K/D went from 2.32 up to 3.42 (lvl 21) and win rate up to 4.55...So im having alot of fun...But its still just my 2 cents..Good luck man..

O and Im pretty sure Crytek is going to make it so that you dont lose all your kills and stats upon reboot.

I'm not really worried about my K/D... I'm only at like 1.88 but I have a feeling that was mostly due to my earlier games. I have few games below 2:1 anymore.

It's more coming down to going for the 10,000 kill dog tag, or getting the Reborn tag... The 100% complete tag is a bit too daunting to attempt.

I liked prestiging in CoD, although in this game It provided me with no sence of gain while I leveled back up.

I wouldn't reccomend it.

In COD: BO, you get practically nothing for prestiging. I think you get gold guns at 14th prestige and more custom classes plus new emblems.

In Crysis 2, you get new skill assessments, new emblems, new camo's each prestige, dog tags.

In both cases you get more or less the same = very little. So I find it very difficult to understand how you would like prestiging in COD but not C2. It's practically the same. You actually get more in C2 because you are getting your camo's each reboot, more rewarding, rather than having to wait 14 prestiges.

I doubt you will provide a real sensible response to my argument and will mostly personally attack me, but we can hope.

Reboot. Ive done it and it makes the game more enjoyable. Being top of the scoreboard & killing all the level 50s while just being level 2, is very satisfying.
