Seriously I am so f**king sick of all the players who have no idea how to play Capture The Relay. Just now I was playing a game, we got dominated 5-0. Why? Becasue 1) every time someone got the relay nobody bothered to defend them, 2) everybody kept running around just trying to kill people rather than actually try and get the relay, and 3) they all camped RIGHT AT THE BASE AND STILL COULDN'T KILL EVERYONE.

It REALLY does my head in. One time, I had the relay and died from a long-range kill and the relay WAS LITERALLY RIGHT IN FRONT OF OURS, and still nobody got it and they returned it.

This is why I only ever play TDM in multiplayer games.

Edit: On the plus side, in the game before everybody was boosting except for me. So I went to the enemy relay and was able to kill about 4 people in about 5 seconds.

Yeah I feel your pain. I like the gametype but when I find a game I always have to capture AND defend at the same time, so the end-result is always 0-0 because I usually die when playing 1vs6, altho sometimes I manage to capture it alone when I have radar active and run like crazy.

And if the relay gets captured your teammates most of the times run in a straight line after him so they never catch up and they get a point.

But what makes me the most angry when playing CTR is the basecampers.. and like you say when someone finally get the relay noone bothers to protect them..

CTF is my fav gametype for shooters, but two things keep me from playing it on Crysis 2.

1) As you said, most nubs don't really try to play CTF, they just use it as a game where they can finally get a few kills in a whole match by camping somewhere close to their flag. Snipers are notorious for this, and usually why people that snipe are the worst at shooters. Because they never really learn how to play (shoot and move). I still cringe whenever I see someone with "sniper" in their screen name that's on my team.

2) No solo mode for CTR... so just about every time I play I am going against a clan which isn't always the worst thing, but usually is.

Thankfully I find Crash Site a very fun mode so I mostly play solo on that.

if you got no party dont bather with objective game types its just pointless sad but true
