Hotfix erased by latest Patch

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 8:59 am

Hey,

Another forum member, Stryker, recently posted that he thinks that the hotfix we received was erased by the latest patch.

My friends have told me they feel the same and I have a suspicion as well but I cannot tell since the differences are quite subtle in some cases.

Has anyone found the same?

I use the Feline, and I do not feel a difference.

I think the increased damage for grenades and L-Tags has remained, along with the increased fire rate for L-Tags, but I've had a few max nanosuits that actually seemed to benefit me, not as it was after the 'balancing' hotfix.

The maximum nanosuit does seem a bit more difficult to take down again. As for the rest of the changes, I'd say my grenades don't seem as redonkulous anymore. The recoil on the assault rifles/feline seem to be the same as the hotfix. The K-Volt I can't comment on because I haven't unlocked it, again, yet.

Not sure about the recoil but I did notice the Guass attachments has been reset to 2 shots in a clip again making it completely useless again. Thanks Crytec, one of the the few benificial hotkey fixes and you took it away.

Ya it seems air stomp as well is back to being very slow recovery. At this point, who knows what is changed/unchanged because the patch(es) notes are vague and do not fix what they say.

I still manage to find the MP thrilling and fun.

Air Stomp is definitely slower to recover.

I think I've been spoiled by Blizzard all these years from my WoW days with their heavily detailed patch notes and extremely efficient customer service. I get bitter when I see things like "Stability Improvements" and wonder why anyone would put something so general into important information.

Yeah ive kinda been thinking the same thing.
Ive been using the Hammer pistol since the hot fix and it was the best pistol since then, and then when the patch finnaly came i felt that the hammer did not do as much damage anymore.

The Scarab same thing hotfix-More recoil + spread Patch- Nothing reverted to how it used to be
Scar hotfix- large recoil patch- NOTHING
I think that the patch did erase the hotfix but still not enough evidence to be sure.

I'm pretty sure the hotfix was 100% erased by the patch.

I'm too am spoiled by DICE, Bungie, and even KAOS with how well they treat their community and when you see patch notes that contain ridiculous generalizations it gives you the feeling that they don't really know what the fμck they're doing and they're just throwing mud at the wall to see what sticks.

For me here's what feels different post patch
L-Tag fire rate feels slower and the charges take longer to detonate and they don't do as much damage
Air Stomp feels less effective and slower to recover and I have Air Stomp 3
Scar/Scarab feels like it takes more rounds to put down an opponent
overall it feels like there's less auto aim as well

This all could be due to lag however, as I've encountered many more games with lag since the patch.
