My only complaint about Crysis 2. -Energy Transfer Rant-

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 4:40 am

It's just too hard to make a damn escape.

I like to play just as most run and gun players do, and the energy system does EVERYTHING to prevent that. I love playing Instant Action, and what I usually do is cloak and scout for enemies. By the time I confront an enemy, my energy has almost been completely depleted. I use the Energy Transfer module in my main loadout along with Mobility Enhance, and the problem with this is that I have to stand where I killed my most recent enemy, and wait a few seconds for the module to give me my energy boost. What's wrong with this? If I happen to use any of my suit abilities (armor, cloak, or sprinting), the energy transfer is canceled, and I'm left with nothing, prone to enemy attack.

Why I'm not so happy with this, is because in this game, enemies are almost always close by, standing there waiting for my energy boost with no protection at all is equal to just begging to murdered. Other players in Instant Action are constantly on the move, looking for victims of their own, and what happens when they just see someone standing there?

The worse part about this is that sprinting is linked with your energy bar, so I couldn't run from any pursuers if I wanted to. Sure, I do use Mobility Enhance, but using it after a kill won't really be so effective, and I'll never know how much energy my opponents have got.

I'm trying to understand your issue, so your complaint is that there is a delay on killing someone and receiving energy and that this can be cancelled by using armor, cloak, or sprinting?

There is a delay for about 0.5 seconds, and energy transfer is not cancelled by using any abilities. If your using Energy Transfer I then you get a little energy then it might look your not getting anything but you get alot at Energy Transfer III it might solve the issue.

Also there is no reason to be standing recharging after a fight because 1) It's not likely you had zero energy before the fight and 2) you get energy from Energy Transfer. I rarely have NO energy immediately after a fight, even before I get good modules.

Not really sure what you're complaining about as I think the module is fine and not heard this complaint before.

maybe you just svck (JK) lol......or try a different stratigy like see an enemy and then wait till you can epicly jump that fool and do it so that he wont be able to aim at you 1st and if you seemingly cant do what you say...i advise you put visor enhance on because that way you can see the ppl in stealth in a light red color and the normal people are just red (like here i am shoot me) then put some aim enhance on so you can shoot from a distance and no miss and if you do then you can stealth and run and then you can make options and your energy transfer will probably help you...

my class that i use and epic raqe with is
energy transfer 3
stealth enhance 3
wepon pro 3

or substitute one of them for visor enhance lol yeah try that and maybe ittle help you out yo. and for last you shouldnt be trying to escape anyone...they should be trying to escape you -__- they should be afraid of you lol because you wanna be the guy thats just like...*pops out of stealth* hi! *go into armor* kill *go back into stealth* pick up dog tag...rinse and reapeat 7 times...works wonders lol i should know i do it all the time and piss ppl of doing it to lol ^_^

Perhaps he's shooting out of stealth too often? I mean, that's the only reason I could see you having 0 energy after a fire fight... That or you were shot out of cloak.
