With the recent server side gameplay adjustments it seems like they are definitely trying to slow the game down to me. Which wouldn't be a bad thing necessarily. Something a little close to the pacing of Battlefield wouldn't be a bat thing IMO. Gears MP is even too fast for what I believe this game is trying to achieve.
If you watched all the pre release MP vids they alluded to something more slower and strategic then what we currently have.
Some of the suit mods when compared to others are junk as it is making a few too OP IMO.
I use Air Stomp III Stealth Enhance III and Mobility Enhance III. IMO they should have made a 4th mod group specifically for the suit enhancement mod.
I'd almost guarantee you that the most effective players all use Stealth Enhance III and Mobility Enhance III as a baseline and only change out the armor mods. These two mods alone in conjunction with the map sizes(they're too large horizontally and need to be more vertical) make the other mods in their respective categories worthless
Stealth is still too easily seen by the naked eye which currently makes Cloak Tracker a junk mod. Tracker is redundant and needs to be absorbed into Cloak Tracker's upgrade III ability and needs to work against players in Stealth. Stealth enhance needs to work like this, lvl 1 quicker transition, upgrade 2 no shadow, lvl 3 dampened or no footstep sound- trash covert ops, its junk. The enhancement mods should not adjust energy consumption that's the purpose of the energy transfer mod and should be part of its up grade III (Energy Transfer III- Suit ability usage consumes less overall energy). Proximity Alarm should be absorbed by Armor enhance and be its upgrade III. Nanovision is worthless. Mobility enhance at upgrade III should let you run faster at the cost of energy consumption (Mobility Enhance I Faster ADS, upgrade II Faster climbing, upgrade III run faster at the cost of energy consumption.)
Fewer mods with better upgrades would have been the better route IMO. A lot of the mods really seem like they're there just so they can have the bullet point on the box of "our game has "X" number of unlockables"
