Internet Shutdown after disconnect to server!!!!

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 12:31 am

Hi,

my problem is that every time I want to join a server it tells me that i was dropped out or that i cannot join the server. After that I leave Crysis 2 and try to look if my internet is working and it doesn't but before that it does. So i reconnect my router and I have Internet again but as soon as I try to login into a server my Internet is lost again. The intersting thing is that i have Ts3 on while this and it is working even after my Firefox and Crysis 2 tell me that I dont have any connection anymore but I can speak with my mates...

yep.. me too. Disconnect from server, lose Ventrillo, then upon closing game, find out the internet is also gone.

After a few minutes, everything restores and away we go again.

Happens at least once a night if I play Crysis2 for a few hours. Strangest thing... exclusive to this game only!

makes me think there is a memory leak causing it. once I reboot everything, I am good to go. I can stay in a server for hours

What would a memory leak have to do with killing your router? Its the router its killing. Here is actually a weird part. TS 3 stays connected, but IM, web browsing, etc. all break. Not just on my computer, on ALL connections to my Wireless router.

Can you say MAJOR FAIL... ooo, and they STILL have not fixed the LE codes.. seriously? pathetic guys!

Noticed this a long time ago. If you have a firewall installed look at it and see how many connections C2 is trying to open when going through the server browser, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to open a connection to every single server in the list. I think that's the cause of the problem, because for me after a few minutes those connections close and my internet works again.

Well, a week and a small handful of days and Brink will be out and we'll be able to run our own servers (for free) however we want. C2 has a short lifespan, maybe even shorter than the new MoH game.
