I think its time for me to just throw in the towel

This isn't a message about the games lag, or any bugs. It's a post about my lack of skill with FPS's. I'm not the greatest at FPS's but I liked this game because of the amazing graphics and since as usual with summer months there's a drought of games. Honestly though I think all of you guys must just be in a league of your own with your twitchy fingers and cat like reflexes. Some games I can go positive K/D 10-6 or something, but some games I'll start out and be 1-4 or 0-5, its really quite disappointing to say the least. My biggest problem is the aiming I seem to spray bullets like nobody's business, and if your a moving target I'ma have a hell of a time hitting you. Sometimes I'll hit 'em (and all around em) and they'll just shoot me and I die and I watch in there killcam and there gun doesn't even move an inch. Ahh what fun it must be to play like that. For now though I'm thinking of throwing in the towel. I love this game, but I guess I'm to much of a n00b to play it. If only Skyrim and Rage came out sooner...

P.S. I should also note that this seems to be a very team orientated game, and I do better when I stick with the group, however no one on this game seems to own a headset. >.>

LMAO

Thats me. Frustrating init. Having no community support on top of that didnt help. I got to stressed in the end & traded it. I dont know if its my aiming or the game. I know people say it the game but i'm not 100% convinced with that.

C2 is the first FPS for me on the 360. I sprayed a lot first, but after hours of playing i saw i get better from game to game. It needs plenty of time for those who don′t have the best FPS skills, but trust me, play games and u definitely get better! BTW. play with auto aim on and adjust the sensibility of your controller. I have mine at 45 and it works. Good luck!

Apart from Halo Reach noone ever seems to talk in any online game. Or they're all in party chat talking to people playing other games. I'd seriously like to see games that while kicking people from parties on the xbox dashboard, allow people to form in game squads and talk like Reach does. (well make a party in game not kick from dash parties).

And I get what you mean about feeling like lack of skill, and it probably isn't you at all. This game is completely random. Hackers are rampant. and teamplay in online games seems non-existent these days when playing with randoms.

But yes I blame the game. The bad connection issues make lag control when and if you hit someone, then there is the problem of even if you don't have lag, you still might not be hitting your target, as they still aren't really where you are seeing them.

I could go on but just read the bugs thread.

They claimed to have tweaked the weapons a bit. But if you see zero kickback they are probably using the feline. Also many for some reason don't know, usually people who skipped the Campaign that provides a tutorial as you play, that if you hold your left stick down when firing, it stabilizes your gun at the cost of suit energy.

So yeah if you don't push your thumbstick in, give it a try and see if your aim/gun stays still more. It's an annoying feature, but essential in C2 MP.

Also if they disabled aim assist for everyone, you'd see many of these so called pro players aren't so pro, just lucky.
(another suggestion turn aim assist off yourself, it will stop your aim being dragged off target because some random crossed the screen behind your target)

Or you could always just stealth like everyone else and go for a cheap kill from behind.

maybe adjust the sensitivity of you controler?
I just started playing again after weeks, and I svcked BIG TIME. this was because me sensitivity was 60 bad then. had to chance it back to 20 to start playing again and slowly get it back up.

so maybe that'll help you start?

I originally bought C2 about a week n half ago for £40, took it back & got a refund, bought Brink yesterday for £40. I just got another refund for Brink & bought the ltd of C2 again for £30. Not bad that is it.

After playing Brink & attemping to play Black op's it certainly put things in prospective for me. I'm sure I will continue to get pissed with this game, no more than any other but at least I can overlook it seeing as theres nothing as good as C2 thats out. Well, not for me anyway.

Crytek fix this game & you might just have a winner here.

@Doomed
I never new that about the thumb stick. I dont use aim assistance but i'll use it any see if it makes a difference for me. AA shouldn't be im MP imo. Thanks for the tips m8.

I've got a 1k/d on Crysis but it should be higher than that even for me.

Agreed.
I'm better with third-person shooter games, like Mass Effect. Loved Crysis for the quality of the graphics, and the dynamic cutscenes IN GAME.
Probably the best part of it.
And I had trouble with first person shooters on the easiest difficulty. :/

Ya frustrating to say the least when I can go from a good K/D to the next game starting out 0-5. I guess I'm just not good enough to roll with the L33T 12 year olds. Why can't there be one decent game coming out this summer. The only hyped up game is LA Noire and that looks like a total borefest.

Well I hope you don’t, we don’t really know what parts of the game Crytek are working on, but we live in hope.

Lag is a game killer, in any game, but the problem with Crysis is that with each new host the lag changes, regional filters or dedicated servers would really help, I remember playing WAW & MW2 with really bad lag, then a m8 told to me to change the regional filters to local. Problem solved no more lag.

I’m not saying that’s the problem with C2, what I am saying is that once the lag problem is sorted out, Crysis will be a completely different gaming experience.

As for your K/D ratio, try a few games of free for all, it tends to be just a frag feast, but the good thing is you’ll be able to try a different game style, you can try working an area, going from A – B – C –A in a circle or circling the whole map.

Try different weapons, like the auto pump and shooting from the hip, but don’t stop moving just run at them from the side or behind and keep firing.

Because your moving and looking in the direction of your target you may find that your aim is more steady. If they are still standing, just bulldozers over them, using your melee as you go.

Also try using the Power Transfer perk, but what ever you do the secret is not to stop, keep moving as best you can.
