Cannot purchase DLC, Purchased Orig Game on Steam

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:02 am

SO i finally got the system to allow me to enter the payment info/keep it stored so it shows up in game. But for the last week all i get when i try to purchase the DLC is Finalizing Order forever. Let it sit there for over 10 min on multiple occasions and it does nothing. Eventually have to Ctrl+Alt+Del and close the program.

I have seen other mentioning that they are having the same issue and I am wondering, Did you purchase the game through Steam?

you cant purchase it through steam but the dlc pack is added to your crysis 2 folder so the maps appear in the server list through your steam game.
has the money been deducted from your bank?
if so try this.
go to http://www.gamesas.com/ and click on buy it now. on the top left click purchase history. have you got anything in that box especially the grey box with dlcpack1.zip

This is why you are not supposed to use steam.

I am not using Steam to try and purchase the DLC, i am trying to do it in the game like yer supposed to. The purchase never finalizes. It sits on that screen indefinatly and does not show up in purchase history either in-game or on gamesas.com.

I was wondering if the other people that are having the same problem as me purchase the original game on steam. Steam changes the destination directory of the game when installed so wondering if that could be an issue.

Anyone purchase the OG on steam and able to successfully purchase and install/play the DLC?

Yes, don't use the most advanced, up-to-date, and reputable online retailer. Wait, just kidding, that's stupid.

I purchased with Direct2drive and I can't purchase it either. Haven't really bothered trying, though. I get a laugh every time I click on the "webstore" and fail to see any kind of recognition that I own their software. That it's actually registered to THIS name. They simply need to access the db and it's verified. Instead, they're wasting time with who knows what.... Hopefully DX11

I use Opera for most of my browsing, but its not a browser issue, unless the game is supposed to open up a browser page an drop me out of the ingame store. I get all the way to the end of the order and it shows me final price of 10.64 or what ever it is after tax. I click the Complete purchase button and it changes screen to ATTENTION with the red bars on either side and it says Finalizing Order forever. Left it sit for half hour this last time and nothing.

I had to check my firewall to see whether the DLC was actually downloading or not, took quite a while to download (30mins-ish).

its not that it isn't downloading, I CANNOT PURCHASE THE DLC. It never finishes the transaction, it gets stuck on finalizing. I NEVER GET CHARGED.

Dude dont waste your cash .. the DLC is SO NOT WORTH 10 bucks.. it should be free, and they should work on fixing this turd.. Dont give money to greedy McFatpig just for 4 maps..

I double the opinion of the last post. it would have been good spirit of them to release it as a service. Not compensation as such but a little something something for our patience with them. But no. For me personally, once I get bored with the multiplayer maps, im out of there. The game can lay down and die for all I care. UT i played those games for a long time because everytime I was getting bored with the maps and felt like leaving, EPIC pulled a new one or 2 out of their hat. So...i bought the next one. And the next one. And...the next bloody UT graphic update too (they called it new games). Everytime I was left satisfied, because after the obligatory cigarette, they had new tricks up their sleave.

I am still playing left 4 dead 2, because even tho i got bored with the maps, valve gave me 2 whole new campaigns (thats some 8 new maps) for nothing, free, gratis. Just to show me that they like having me around. Ofcourse they only love me for my money, but thats ok. The flowers and occational free dinners makes all...ALL the difference.

Support this nonsensery with your money and the next time around its 2 maps for 10euro. May these DLC problems persist and embarres the company further. sorry for those of you with money hanging out there and no DLC on your pc.
