I think this is a little overly-critical. ill give my reasons"
For one, he is a level designer, not necessary the lead. Probably one of many. Crytek MAY not even have him currently working on a project (or on Crysis 2). Once a game is released, studios often move people around and put less people on a game, since less are needed. They probably have a few level designers for DLC, but he may not be one of them. So, it may be Crytek's decision to not have him working on Crysis 2.
Also, even if he was, he isn't responsible for fixing the entire game, nobody is. He is a level designer and probably does not do much else besides that otherwise he may be stepping on the toes of other people's jobs.
Also, another comment someone said is yes, people are allowed to do other things besides their job. It sounds like this guy has a passion for level design (duh.) So he is continuing that passion in other outlets. Good for him I say. If he isn't working on maps for Crysis 2 (he likely isn't), then it's nice that he's keeping his skills sharp between projects.
At the end of the day, it's the same as if I judged you for a tweet that you played a good round of Crysis. What if you were a student in college? Couldn't I use the argument that you or your parents are paying for you to get an education and not to talk or play Crysis? This sounds kind of silly, but it is the same thing. And don't say that "it's his job", school in this case would be your job too. And remember, he is ONE level designer at Crytek.
Save the guy from the community, LOL. Look, if this guy is tweeting from his company profile, he is wide open for discussion. No one advertises his position on tweeter unless he wants to be known somewhat in the community. If he is not trying to step on other co-worker toes, he should not be posting from this profile. He has a lot of Crysis tweets on this profile as well. We live in an online social society now, and you have to be respectful to the company you work for. I am a business owner, and if my employees are advertising their position on a social forum, I expect them to be respectful to being wide open to reply to customer inquiries. No matter what level of designer he is, he should not be tweeting under this account unless you are ready to be involve with communicating to the public.
