Playing MOH is the closest i've come to feeling like a solider lol. You peep & creep & leg it in open spaces if you dont want to die. Just like you would in the field.
For me that's Battlefield Badcompany 2. Which I brought and have played since I got too frustrated with Crysis 2. Seems really solid when people play it properly and don't just helicopter raqe.
As for the DLC, anyone who's read any of my posts before will know I refuse to buy it. Sure support a company to keep them going, so we can keep playing but when that company releases a half decent product, and not a beta maybe I will.
There is no community interaction from them. not even a "hey we're making a patch it will be ready in a month". No apologies, nothing, just the occasional forum mod saying "hey we can say Crytek are listening" what to? iTunes?
I mean as others have pointed out, it took weeks for them to even get the forums running half properly. Those who can find games I notice are from the U.S, I can't seem to find anyone from my country to play with now, and without dedicated servers, that just means the lag problems are worse, let alone playing the waiting game to find a match to begin with.
Heck I shoot people and they refuse to die, where is the incentive for players like myself that are getting the game crippling bugs like this to keep playing, let alone buy the DLC, that looks to be a straight rip from the campaign we already own???????
I happily purchase DLC for games I own, that work, and that I can actually play, but really what loyalty do I owe to a company that has taken my money for a broken product, and since release has actually made the game worse IMO. I think all I owe them is that I am still here, hoping for a proper patch that will fix everything, and the desire to play C2 again. Aside from that I feel it is Crytek that owes the player, not the other way around.
They get my money when like other companies who get it, THEY show ME they deserve it.
I do like Crysis 2, it is fun, but it has to work and I really really want it to. It's why I am still here.
