It keeps you off radar and reduces muzzle flash and I think recoil but reduces damage per bullet over range
Yeah, basically it just keeps you off the radar... As far as recoil is concerned, there is very slight difference between suppressed or not but is hardly noticeable, EXCEPT for the DSG-1, which does affect the rate of fire a little bit more.
Maltrophstitan is right about reduced damage over range, even though in the 'weapon stats' screen it doesn't say it decreases damage. I can personally vouch for the FELINE and SCARAB to lose range with the suppressor attached.
The DSG-1 doesn't seem to be affected by the range though, because 2 body shots or 1 to the head will kill with or without the suppressor.
Overall it is a pretty sweet attachment, probably one of the best. They are nothing like the CoD suppressors which drastically affect weapon damage thus making it quite an advantage... all you lose is 1 bar of mobility.
