Please integrate the DLC with the Original maps

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 3:15 pm

Hello, the new maps are fun etc however they should be combined with the old maps. Also, break up the CS, CTR, Assault modes like the IA and TIA for the new maps.

Otherwise good stuff and keep the maps and patches coming.

The DLC has only been out for 3 days, give them a chance!
It's quite normal for a map pack to have it's own playlist for a week or two, if it didn't people would complain about that!!

Agreed.

You'll see them in normal lists soon. Usually when it sells a good amount for that platform, it will be put slowly into playlists. It would be silly to force people to leave a good lobby, just cause none of them have DLC.

They should have dropped some low performing playlist in the mean time. They have more playlist than COD and BC2 combined, but hardly no people playing in them.

Why should Crytek do that? So that instead of an online pass EVERYONE has to buy the DLC just to avoid being kicked from games every two seconds just because they don't own an 800MSP Map Pack? That's a joke... I pay enough money for the game, the year Xbox Live I don't need to be bank-raqed anymore than that.

This seems to be causing a lot of trouble.

Considering that hardly enough people play this game anyway then dividing them into camps of non-DLC or DLC players was a bad move. Even harder now to find full games or even get into a game. Thing is that a lot of people probably won't buy DLC until other things are fixed so this divide may last awhile.

Considering that the maps were cut from the SP (so not much extra work there )and all the issues the game had on launch and even now then I am surprised they charged for the DLC. If it was free then this divide would not happen and their customers would forgive them for past trespasses. But they probably thought about money, the immediate gratification to have a few grand extra in their bank accounts right now instead of playing the long-game and building up a good reputation for themselves by fixing the game and giving free DLC which will benefit them in the future when selling future DLC or Crytek titles.

They cannot be making a lot of money in thebig scheme of things with this DLC. I would be suprised if they sold more than 5000 considering how few players play online. That's only 50k (5000 x $10) which isn't alot considering the millions they made over all platforms. More important like I said, to build up the customer base and no create the divide.

THE DIVIDE WILL ONLY CAUSE MORE NON-DLC PLAYERS TO LEAVE. It's a vicious cycle!
