Thank You Crytek - For Server Maintenance

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 3:21 am

Crytek,

I understand most of time you do not have much you can give us, but I want to thank you for working on the servers. I am seeing more games with better connections. The only problem is host selection. Like I said before, I should never be selected as host, but it selects me, and it gives the lobby 1 bars. I do not know what restrictions you can put on host selection, but it needs upgrading. However, good job on working on the servers so far. If you tell us what you doing in a Sticky (Different Color), you will stop getting people wondering what you are doing, so the forums can stay calm. Just trying to help.

So sorry I'm confused, you thank them for fixing something, then comment on how it is actually still broken???

Re: Cryek - Patch Hasn't Fixed The Multiplayer Lag Issues

Hi guys,

Recently we had an issue regarding a "Version Mismatch" error that was occuring randomly for some players. As per the discussion thread, the cause of this issue has been resolved and further to this, we've also made several adjustments to the network system which we believe will result in a smoother online experience for all.

We hope to hear some feedback regarding your online experience now. Please ensure you've got the latest patch (1.1.1.8003) :D

Thanks!

I guess it shows how this has a lot to do with player's connections.

Sorry? as many of us have said, how is it our connections when all our other P2P games work fine?
Even the other formats PS3 and PC have been having similar issues.

I'm on an ADSL2+ connection that works fine for everything else I do that's online related.
So why does it magically break only when I play Crysis 2???

As for the mod notes on the patch, I am up to date and my copy of the game is even more broken now.
Seriously the patch seems to have fixed nothing.

Ha... server maintenance... Xbox has YET to get Servers in order for them to even be maintained... Guess you want the PC section... Shouldn't complain, it's got to be better then playing on a 6 year old Console.

Even with P2P, there is a server for matchmaking, controls lag compensation, and to make hot fixes to the game. It is not a dedicated server like the PC.
