Crytek have really shot themselves in the foot.

I know it is overdone, but here I go anyway.

I fear for the future of this game. I mean, I could continue to play this until something better comes along, which will probably not be until September, but I fear I may not be able to. The community is dwindling, the map packs supposedly sold quite badly and I feel this game deserves a lot more recognition than it has got up until now.

So many people have left because they have no faith in Crytek anymore, and who can blame them? The game does seem to run a lot better now than it did a month ago, but it is a little to late for some, Had they just taken the little time needed to inform their community of what actions they were taking towards making this game more enjoyable, they would not have lost so much of their community.

I do not know what Crytek could do at this point to rectify the bad decisions they have done up until now, but they do not seem to bother at all.

The first step would, honestly, have been free DLC. By charging, what community is left is now split into even smaller groups.

Would dedicated servers boost the population? Maybe slightly, but I can't imagine that it would get done in a timely manner. I'm sure there's a lot of red tape to get through Microsoft's restrictions and regulations. I don't mention Sony because, well honestly, I don't care.

Personally, if this DLC was free and they managed to get the game stable within the next 2 months, I'd not think twice about paying for another DLC even if it was 1200 points. But as stated before, I'm not paying for maps in a poorly functioning game that also has a chance of reducing my ability to find games.
