Why does it seem like crytek takes all of the suggestions in and then spit out almost the exact the opposite in their patches?

They are 'Off the trolley'.

Computing Dictionary

off the trolley definition

Describes the behaviour of a program that malfunctions and goes catatonic, but doesn't actually crash or abort. See glitch, bug, deep space. (haha!)

Adam, here is what boggles my mind. Crytek used to be synonymous with the PC.

At what point in the development process did some retard decide that the fanbase would probably appreciate 3 generic choices for graphic settings that didnt reveal what exactly they did.

Now...what complete and utter &#%¤()((%¤#Q# on a ¤%&"#¤/ ..would think having 7 generic options that still doesnt reveal exactly what they do, is any better? Are these people smoking drugs?

Orb freeze bug is like....a pretty big problem, compared to whatever little balancing was done. Good for you I have a sense of humour, I know think the way this launch has been handled is laughable. Not only did I get atleast 50 hours of fun gaming out of it, theres a good laugh at the end too..thanks. :)

When the "fanbase" started to fsck around with the settings until the game looked like sh*t and then started whining.

Please try deliver your point without the language, abusive comments and drug references...

What exactly do you mean "7 generic options" ? Yes, there are currently less categories available than what was in Crysis but the way they function is the same and the majority of them are in place, with more to come. So again, i ask, please define "generic".

When he says 'generic' he means 'not specific'. People want to change specific things, like the FOV, motion blur, and Post MSAA features. The new settings page doesn't provide any of that.

I don't think that was his point:
Crytek used to be synonymous with the PC.

Appears to be suggesting that descriptions for each setting should be explained, citing that Crytek used to be synonymous with the PC. Confusing part is, the previous Crytek games didn't explain what the settings did either.

I can certainly try and find out what each group changes but i don't understand why he is suggesting this information was expected.

No, but everything was clearly labeled. You had a texture setting, post processing, motion blur, etc. Now, some people don't know what post processing is. They would look at that option and come away asking what the heck that option did.

In Crysis 2, to begin with, we just had 3 options for graphic settings. Every single person who looked at that would wonder what it does, because there isn't any information there.
