common fault in 90% of fps....

after some thought, this to me is the one thing i find irritating in fps; limited time / distance when running???
BFBC2 is the only one i got where you can just run and run, but with out being too fast that you can out run and gun down your enemy. in crysis 2, you wear a nano suit, with all special powers to boot, but run as fast as a 22 stone asthmatic, chomping a kebab, while being chased by members of PETA! i mean come on, ok let the nano suit stealth / armour ability drain, but why can i only run for 25m a time, any human in the military, would be able to cover more distance than this, and im not expecting to beat usain bolt, but at least move quicker than a sunday stroll. i fail to see why most fps have only 2 settings, walk or full on sprint??

LOL @ anology. I agree with your thoughts regarding sprinting energy in general but i believe in Crysis 2 it's all part of gameplay balance.

If the non-powered running speed is made significantly faster then the powered running speed's effectiveness is lessened. You can't really increase the powered running speed much more because of the level design and existing gameplay mechanics. It's about the balance between making the suit feel awesome and keeping the gameplay tight-knit.

Well said Adam :) It is about balance, but let me also throw in that in this game sprinting makes you run at (pretty sure) 1.8 times speed. That's WAY faster sprint than all other games with sprint. I played a few COD4 games recently because it's still fun (the only good one), and I find I literally never sprint in COD now, I'm pretty sure it's 1.1, or maybe 1.25, but it's terrible and not even worth it.
