Patch 1.8 is working great for my 5870 crossfireX setup, really nice in single player and all maps in multiplayer all problems fixed, love the patch, but the only thing is Pier 17 multiplayer map I get lower than normal framerate at around 45-60+ all other maps are 60+ always. is this map just that demanding?

Yes, some maps are more graphically demanding than others...especially with Pier 17 I noticed, before I upgraded my graphics card. 45-60 sounds about right.
