Ok, I just did this and I received the confirmation E-mail but I am still not on the online leaderboard...What am I doing wrong?

Click on your profile, and click account settings. This will help sync your accounts.

The stats on gamesas don't sync either completely with the console leaderboards - i.e. my awards and kills listed on my Profile here is not the same as on my console...
