Been 29 Days since last Patch! Any ETA on next patch please?

The point is this isn't being treated as a community. Thats just it. No one expects instant patches. Some words on whats being worked on, estimated timeframe etc would do wonders.

There is no decent level of engagement from Crytek. You can't seriously expect productive things to occur when the main people involved aren't even being engaging. (I know some topics have a lot of users who are bring up some good ideas) I just find it shocking that Crytek still feel that "seeing a reply" is what this is about.

Long way to go in terms of community improvement.

That's it.
A gaming community is always patient when the devs are in communication with them. As many of us have pointed out and as many games DO.

A lot of the frustration and people quitting is simply from lack of communication, I'm sure Cry-Tom and Cry-Adam are doing their best, but to be constantly told the same line by 2 "forum"mods that "they are listening and fixing" isn't enough.
Pretty sad that Crytek ignore the fact that more people would keep playing if they just kept us in the loop.

Heck look at Bungie.net, even the HALO 3 forum gets more user posts and DEV feedback than gamesas.com does or gives users.
As soon as I post in the Reach forum it's buried by new posts. Here I can be the last 20 posts made for a whole day.

Instead of hiding Crytek Devs and making Adam and Tom act as human shields, have the balls and come communicate with us, a post every other day would be great, just socializing with us, and make use of your news and home pages and keep us informed, is 5minutes of typing each day too much to ask?

Seriously we don't want much just some signs of life outside of DLC and asking us for more money.

Man UP already!!!!

This +1

Got it in one brother.

You guys are glossing over the fact that in every game forum as soon as a dev posts ANYTHING at all it gets disected and a thousand different viewpoints on the wording arise. On top of that they usually get besieged by nonsense posts and ignorant demands by the thousands. Ive seen it many many times over the years.

Also they do have lives outside of making a game. No really they do. I speak from experience when I say that constantly working on the same project for years and having to answer questions on it constantly is tedious in the extreme. And really, expecting them to spend the free personal time they do have when not working pandering to the whims of a handful of irate web-warriors is farsical at best.

Put it this way what would you rather have them do;
A.) Answer posts 24/7 on the forum on any and every subject known to man
or
B.) The job they are paid to do, and complete the game DLC and patches we require.

I know what I vote for, B thats what.

I choose both.

They work 37 hours (in their probable 37.5 hour, 9-5 full-time job) on DLC and patches, and the remaining 30 mins once a week to let us know WHAT THE HELL THEIR WORKING ON IN DETAIL!!!!!

See, thats where the problem comes again.

You're assuming people expect 24/7 communication. No one is claiming for 24/7 speaking. Who the hell would have the time to do that? I know I wouldn't. What its about is when their clearly on the forums, browsing and, as they say, 'reading'. Why not get involved on a normal level with the community? You know make it feel like you're actually on a forum thats offical.

No one is expecting personal time. If they wish to be on here in their own time, thats their choice. Its about what they do with the time when they're online.

PS: Theres a lot more people than just Adam, and Tom on forums.

You misunderstand me, Im not the one expecting anything. But believe me when I say that developers in general feel that they are demanded to speak 24/7. Ive seen if first hand in other titles, with developers making a simple observation on a playstlye they have witnessed and then half the so called "community" in uproar and besieging the said devs with hate filled rants and spewing nonsense on what the person actualy said.

Even posting once a week would not suffice for those types of people, and those are the ones that populate the majority of game forums. However I do agree that more communication is a good thing, Its just that I have seen the good communication intentions of other devs get destroyed by the so called "community", which puts rather a large dent in confidence right across the industry in doing so.

I apologize.

Yeah, it probably has deterred most devs from communicating as much as they wish. However, if that mentality is there, its kind of sad to have such a generalization. This community is not bad. Its just Crytek has slapped people in the face with the engagement being provided. We can all agree its gotten better over time, but its still got a long way to go. Some conversation here and there, surely can’t damage them that much, can it?

Pein-Lazarus hit the nail on the head there.

There is no excuse on behalf of Crytek ignoring its fanbase, plain and simple.

People arent asking for 24/7 feedback, maybe just every couple of days keeping us posted as to what's going with Crysis 2 would improve relations to a massive extent.

There is so much angst on here for one reason - Crytek 'pop on' once every 6-8 weeks then disappear again for about the same amount of time.

This isn't good enough, and causes the angst, what do they expect?
