Love the new maps, just wish they were integrated into the regular playlists. As good and big and diverse as they are, there's only four of them and thus they do get boring after a while (especially since everyone always want to play Crash Site and spam with the L-Tag...).
And I don't think that many people actually bought it (in protest to the MP issues), or, if they did, were set off by the then still horrible connections and stopped playing altogether (apparently a lot of us were under the strange impression that there would be some patch or update to fix the MP issues included in the DLC... weird, I know).
I would love to play more games on them, though... Sadly, even if they fix the matchmaking, I still won't be able to easily play with people from the US (I'm in Germany, right now), since the net-coding is apparently way too cumbersome.
I still think it's weird I can play pretty much every other online MP with people from all around the world without any lag at all, but as soon as I get into a Crysis 2 game with someone from overseas, time... slows... down... Movement... ... sluggish... ... Deaths... ... for... ... no... ... reason...

Granted, the maps are large, but all of them feature small interior areas of strategic value, that in most games create hotspots of vicious close quarters combat.
True, it can be annoying when Crash Site Spawns put you on the wrong side of a map as big Park Avenue and you have to hustle to get somewhere but end up being sniped before you get anywhere.
But in the end, the big maps are like two or three smaller maps combined, almost like Liberty Island (which consists of Statue and Evac Zone), but with much more in the way of interiors and vertical gameplay. If you get to know them, I believe they offer a place for every play style.
Or maybe I just want more people to buy the gorram DLC so I don't feel like I've wasted money on something I could only use once before it's used up.
