You spend more time on it's forums than playing it.

Yup this is Crysis 2 for me, posting text. Money well spent right?

I'd be happy to have a private match, that might lessen the lag issues if I played locals, problem is it doesn't help me unlock anything and my friends who own it refuse to play :(

I'm waiting still myself, but my patience is really running out.

That's so true, I come on here everyday hoping that they fixed the grain glitch....it's been 2 freaking months and SP is still messed! I can understand MP issues for a month or maybe even two but broken SP for this long is actually shameful and unprofessional. Crytek lost a lot of respect from the people who were actually interested in their games. Not a good idea to treat first customers like ****.

I wish the reviewers mentioned more of the technical problems (especially the grain glitch), I wouldn't have purchased the game on release day. I would have waited until it was 20-30 bucks and paid what it's worth (and probably had a better working version too). Oh well, guess who's not buying then next Crytek game until it's in the bargain bin, if at all.

Gamespot is having an extra-50% promotion on trade in games, I can probably get 45 bucks for this almost amazing piece of garbage.

I'd love the day to come, when Crytek patch the Network Coding issues (along with the other bugs).

I woulndn't have to come on this forum constantly then.

As usual deafening silence off Crytek.

What a joke.

I have a tendency to pre-order games I think will be gems, but Brink and Crysis both burned me one right after the other. I think what really bugs me was that at least Brink had customizable stuff for it's pre-order...

Crysis gave me:

- A measly "platinum" dog tag that's really just a flat gray border that cuts off 15% of the pictured dog tag.
- A Urban skin for the most commonly used weapon in the game, but the skin really shows no difference from the base gun skin. It a few lighter areas and most of them aren't viewable on screen....
- 5 extra levels, which personally I regret having because those first 5 levels I'd be able to burn through in maybe 2-3 games.
- Hologram for the Scar. It's already unlockable, and I hardly use it because I have to break stealth to do it and 80% of the time I get shot at while using it (yes I know this is my fault).

I wish I knew what the gold dog tag was like or even the Desert Skin for the Scar.. I want to know if those people felt as jipped as I felt on that first day.

This is all kind of sad.
I hadn't given the fact that I was on these forums more than I was playing the game that much thought yet, but thank you for bringing it to my attention.

It's very messed up.

It actually makes me happy to get on the forums and see people constantly in an uproar about all of this. If I worked for they who must not be named, I would take this as a compliment and it would further fuel my desire to cease all manner of reticence and respect the product I put so much time and effort into as much as the people who like it so much that they will get on here more every day to attack and curse more than they'll play the actual game.

I can't see why these guys aren't rushing to fix this...I'd hate to have to think so badly of all of them on a personal level.

Not sure if you're defending Crytek or not,so I'll take the defending them angle .....

I think you fail to see that those of us that are complaining are doing so because we actually like the game as many of us have stated, this is why it is even more frustrating that we can't play it.

If I could play a single decent round online I wouldn't be here criticizing them, and would actually be playing instead after posting a massive thank you.

But hey if you brought a sports car and it was delivered with no wheels and were informed that at some point you'd get those wheels, but not when, so your shiny new sports car sat in your drive for 2months you unable to drive it, and still no idea when the wheels were coming, and all calls to the manufacturer went unanswered wouldn't you be a bit annoyed?

I mean I paid almost $100AUD for this game, which is a damn lot in anyones currency. Should I remain silent and say:

"OMG THANK YOU THIS IS SO AWESOME THIS SHINY DISC I CAN SIT AND STARE AT"
"ITZ OK THAT I CAN'T PLAY IT, BECAUSE HEY AT LEAST YOU INTENDED IT TO BE AWESOME AND PLAYABLE AND THAT IS WHAT COUNTS AND WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY"

Seriously what is it with gamers? If you brought a TV or a A blu ray player, or if your xbox F***ed up, I'm sure you'd be asking them to fix or replace it, not just going oh well, at least I have some pretty doorstops.
And if you tried getting it fixed with no luck or response, you'd get pretty pissed.

Why should software be any different from any other product we purchase?

Context is a very hard thing to get across via text, it's the majority of reasons flame wars start on forums.
If you were stating the opposite then great lol.

But this is why I wrote. "Not sure if you're defending Crytek or not,so I'll take the defending them angle ....."

I wasn't taking either one of those positions. I was simply contemplating the situation as a whole and making observations.

Did ANY reviews that you read mention the grain glitch. I don't remember reading ANY reviews that talked about it. That's what was especially frustrating. All the reviewers gave it very positive reviews while totally not mentioning the grain bug. Links if you have them to any online reviews that mentioned it.
