Forgive Me O Fellow Members! Hit Detection is not Perfect!

My fellow man,

I have been party to making such bold claims such as there is little to no lag and the hit detection is fine. Forgive me for I was wrong...

I've always noticed that there was some inconsistency with how long enemies take to kill but whether sometimes they take 7 or 15 bullets didn't make much difference to me since because I am an Elite (cloak all game, shoot people in the back or while their fighting someone else using ET III, SE III) then 1-on-1 engagements are rare.

How wrong I was!

I had the honor of watching a youtube gameplay of a beast player called Ronaldinho1224 on youtube and he has a 8 KD on Black Ops (wow!!) and a 12 KD on MW2. Here is a live commentary of him tearing it up.

I would embed it but it don't work when I try.

On the MW2 engine, is so easy to see that there is no lag. I always find the lag in Crysis 2 to not be much of a problem, you get used to it if there only a little, but look at the netcode on this game! There is no lag, the migrations always work.... and the hit-detection incredible!

Do you see what I'm seeing? You aim your gun and fire and the people drop as though everyone has Host! I know Crysis has a little more health but when you have host on Crysis 2 have you noticed that you are able to take a little more damage and kill people a lot smoother!

I wish CryEngine 3 had the hit detection of the MW2 engine! No wonder MW1 & MW 2 have done so well and the next MW3 are already having record breaking pre-order sales.

MW has always had great netcode, other bugs sure, but netcode has usually not been one of the issues. Host migrations still only work about 50% of the time there too though, just due to the limits of the peer 2 peer networking on the 360.

As for MW3... I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not pre-ordering. Its not made by the same people! They might call themselves IW, but most of the people who made the first two games no longer work there, as I'm sure most people are aware of the falling-out between IW and Activision. I'll wait to see how good it really is after its released before I buy it. Hell, I live in a rural area, you can always get a game copy even on release date, there is really no reason to pre-order unless they're giving you some perk for it.
