OVERBLURRED Weapon/Hands/Edges

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 5:09 am

Hi.
I have a little problem, since 1.8 ingame (both SP and MP) are edges, hands (of my player) and the weapon extremely blurred.
Deactivating Motion Blur is the only solution, but NOT acceptable for me, due to lag and headache.
Things ive tried: reinstalling, deleting custom CVars, adding new CVars, and changing ingame graphics. nothing seems to work. what else can i do? please help :/ the game is unplayable for me now ._.

What is your setup? What are your ingame grafix settings?

Deactivating Motion Blur is not recommended. See this Thread.

Tweaking Motion Blur may help.

At this point, and as layperson, I'd be interested in Post-Processing. Compare your settings to Threads. In post patch 1.8, Extreme settings Post-Processing seems to create issues.

So Wanting to run in SLI mode without flickering here is what I did:

Make sure the following line is commented out or remove from autoexec.cfg:

;sys_spec_postprocessing=3

Explanations and exact cfg files to follow

Try it out... I hope it works for you.
