A moan from an old timer.....

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 4:27 pm

While I am all for Crysis 2 having a double xp weekend I am not happy with all the gamers coming back just to grab the xp then they will shelve the game away again for the next year. You ask why I am not happy, well the games latency is not the best at most times but now more people are playing it seems really bad. Yesterday I got into 1 lobby were my shots were hitting the target and doing damage. The rest of the day I spent shooting rounds off that seemed to do jack sh8t to the target. Very laggy. Please sort the network coding out crytek before you have anymore bright ideas on how to draw the deserters back in as I am really losing interest in your game.

Dear Old Man,

Go shout at the kids on your lawn.

Ps - I will be listening to my music box.

Thanks,

Young Man.

dear young man ( more like little boy)
he has a lawn, cos he owns his own place, not like you who still lives with mummy and daddy, and festers in a box room of a 2 bed terrace, calling it a "man cave".
you may have a "music box", the rest of the grown ups have ipods, dab, etc. not to worry, only 7 months until xmas, then you can scream and scream until you get what, mummy and daddy, work all year, to save for you.

a grown up,

Dear A. Grown Up,

I find your comments and remarks amusing, the fact you believe I live with my parents? Amuses me all the more, a man cave? That just sounds so wrong... On many levels. The music box, I call an iPhone 4, though, I also have a HTC Desire, living with parents though... Really? How old do you think I am? I'm 20 years old, self employed and have a 2 bedroom appartment in Harlow, Essix. You can visit if you like, I will show you my wonderful bose speaker system I also have, which is a little bigger than a music box.

Though, you were right about the lawn, I don't have one of those, yet, I don't mind. I am three stories up, and so, I cannot access that luxury. Though, if you are an advlt, you wouldn't be so immature as to make so few, yet major spelling mistakes.

Where did you say you graduated? I graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford with an Honors Degree in Business & IT Engineering (Part Software Engineering and a large Networking portion).

Thanks,

TheUnknowing

Ps - The fact you thought I was a child, and you would attempt to "put-me-down" shows how much of an advlt you truly are? Arguing, with what you thought, was a child is just a poor attempt at a self-reichous victory. Ha, make me laugh. You're so funny! You should keep coming back, you made my day. Thinking you know me as a person.

Pps - The guy I was talking, it was a joke, not an insult, I was fooling with him. And simply put, is neither your business, therefore your argument is invalid and rendered useless. How do you know I am not friends with this guy? You don't. Exactly, so before you come running in and trying to offend people, think before you make yourself look like a massive idiot by speaking.

Ppps - I'm serious, if you want to visit my appartment you can, I welcome you to my home with gracious open arms to show you, that you sir, were and are, wrong.

But seriously,

On a more serious note, I understand that you are upset with people only coming back to Crysis 2 for the Xbox Live double Experience event, I however, have stuck with this game for the sole purpose that, I do, thoroughly enjoy it. Though, the networking has much room for potential, I believe it is getting better, and as with wine, it only gets better with age...

Not to worry though, when the Crysis 2 XP Event has ended it should go back to having the non-boosters on there, which would be nice, as I am fed up with seeing people with 65,000xp+ at the end of each game of CTR. Though, not bothering me, as I have enough time to kill them all and steal the relay for myself; and, if I'm feeling giddy enough, I will run up to them, kill them, watch from a distance, and snipe them from a long range. Thus, meaning they are running back to the same location to die, once again all the more. Even though they know someone in the game will kill them, they remain oblivious and yet so obvious to the fact that this is, and will always happen as and when they play the game.

Just for the fact that you said "Enjoy your harlow night out" or whatever, I love. I must honestly say Harlow is a ****. I don't drink, I physically cannot drink, I have a stomach condition preventing me from touching alcohol... But, anyway, you think I spent £15,000 for 3 years to get a degree to watch porm? Please... I enjoy my job, and I enjoy working with computers, I might be a nerd, and a techie, but I enjoy living my way... Harlow might not be the nicest place in the world, but it's not the worst.

And what do you mean "Says it all" Just because I LIVE here, doesn't mean I was born here, I moved here from elsewhere... So, please cut down on trying to act smart. Go out and get bladdered, It's not my call to do so. But, at the end of the day, I enjoy the way I live. I enjoy the people's company around me, and I enjoy the work I do. It's as simple as that.

For the fact that I can work when, and as I want without the requirement of having to book days off, or call in sick... I do what I like, when I like, isn't that what we all would like in life?

Oh and one more thing, what part of the UK are you in? Because I'm pretty sure you must be local as you know where and what harlow is like.

Firstly : I honestly did not want to cause any flame wars on here I was merely having a half valid moan about my experience with the game over the XP weekend.

Secondly : I can not blame it all down to the network coding (although it does need looking into. The beta was fine why Crytek did you change it?.)

Thirdly : I may find a better consistency in my gaming when I switch from ADLS to FTTC on the 2nd June (fingers crossed)

Final thought : Please people life is to sort to ague about things that really do not have any negative reflex on are life except a bit of frustration when playing a game with poor connection and shabby network coding.

Stop moaning you old git.

Haha, I'm only fooling with you pal, I know what you mean though when it comes to the lag. I only joke about the "Old" crap because you put "old timer" so I thought I would have a laugh with you by trying to take a common ground and pull it into the thread. Obviously, I thought wrong, and caused a huge flame war, which I thought was rather amusing as people are STILL taking it seriously lol.

But, welcome to the dread of this forum! It's hell, it's a warzone here, it's a deathtrap and a rage-topic board, simple as. But... It's damn beautiful... It's significant... It's Crytek... It's ours.

Welcome, to the world...
