Well, I got Crysis 2 a few days ago as a birthday gift, and I have been avidly playing since.
Today, I mistakenly swapped a friend's HDD with mine, so I recovered my profile on his drive. Going into Crysis, I only expect my campaign progress to be gone (for obvious reasons), but I was a little shocked when my multiplayer stats were gone, too.
So, just get the HDD back, re-recover my profile, and go back to killing dudes, right? Nope. Just got my HDD back, still at Rank 1
Now, I'm not that upset that I lost my rank (I was only at 15), but I did put a week's worth of time and effort to get there. I'm more concerned if someone with a stupidly high rank ran into the same problem. But I guess I'm forced to start over here, got up 6 ranks in one match!
I have maybe 3 friends out of 100 that play Crysis 2, and I've never joined their matches. So this wasn't an intentional reset, it's hard to boost with people you meet once, don't talk, and will never see again.
I'll try to get a picture of my Leaderboards, they still say I'm at Rank 15.

I'd appreciate it if those with the same problem could also post here. At least I'll know I'm not crazy

Most of your online data for Crysis 2 is stored on YOUR harddrive, and when you recover your account, (that was recovered on your friends HD) there will be some type of overwrite or deletion taking place due to the fact that the data is from two different consoles..

Seems odd that a high profile company like Crytec would leave multiplayer stats on something as easily accessible as a local harddrive. Unless it's highly encrypted, wouldn't that make stats highly vulnerable to hackers and cheaters? That's why other games store their player's MP Data server side
Now, doing some looking around, someone posted that their rank was partially reset. A response stated that the statistic server recent went down, so I'm thinking that that may have some relevance to my issue as well. (http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=29004)

Wow, I still have my I <3 NY dogtag equipped, but it says I've yet to unlock a mystery dogtag.

I also did the same recovery thing as you and my rank was also reset. However I noticed that some things weren't reset; all of my classes had the same weapons and perks equipped as they did before the reset (at rank 10 I was using a class that was equipped with a Scarab and a JAW). Also, my Retriever perk was never reset and remains at level 3 even though I just re-unlocked it again.

I was level 30 before the reset but since the Double XP weekend was here, I made it back to 27 or so which makes up for it. I was just a little irritated since I spent so much time shooting for level 50.

Wow, that is weird. I'm see the same issue as you, I must not have look around fully. Custom Class 2 is currently locked for me, but it still has my old loadout. Class 1 has my old loadout, too, having equipped things it says I've yet to unlock. That's my only proof of my old rank now, as the leaderboard updated, and now says I'm a rank 9 across all boards. Should have got a picture before

I hope we can get a Crytec employee to comment on this, a bug that deletes your multiplayer data seems kinda large to ignore, and I'm sure it wasn't just us two who were affected.
