WHY CAN'T I STOP PLAYING CRYSIS 2?

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:34 am

Ok ok, Ill admit Im dissappointed a little that Crysis 2 is a mere console port. Ive raved about how its better than Crysis, but lets face it, Crysis 1 had "real" physics, destructible environments, better customization options, and vehicles(what happened to that in Crysis 2). But for some reason I can't stop playing Crysis 2. Overall all Crysis games have a lackluster story, but all are great Singleplayer campaigns, I really enjoyed the second one almost more because of better alien AI, but I did miss the destructible environments. But really I can't stop playing multiplayer, and I don't know why. Its unbalanced, there are too many hackers, glitches galore, and only the best of the best are actual playing the PC version(making me better tho). And really its a down right COD clone, but which game isn't nowadays, I actually like Crysis 2 more than COD for some reason. At the sametime Ive never been more infuriated be a game than Crysis 2. Right from the March 22, I couldn't get my limited edition content for 3 days, I couldnt finish singleplayer because of the nano catalyst glitch, and then I couldnt even play MP because stats were deleting...

Overall Ive never seen a PC game released this poorly...well ever...Im not sure how the console version went but my friends who bought it never complained like I did...but after 2 and half months I just can't stop playing Crysis 2...I guess I hate to love it...

and why am I saying all this...I don't know...I guess I just want to hear some more griping from ppl about my favorite crappy game of all time...(jk Crytek, I don't think its crappy since your fixing it but when it came out it was horrendous)

Anyways...Crysis 2 the worst best marvelous piece of ???? excellent game of the bargain bin award winning opus of the millenium...

I love and hate Crysis 2....f*ck my life...

I somehow feel totally the same. I am not playing anything else than Crysis 2 MP. I enjoyed the SP more than original Crysis and Crysis Warhead. I also pre-ordered and can't make the code working. Till patch 1.4 I was getting MP memory leak which caused 5-10 fps after 3rd game in MP. Yet I still was somehow around. Patch 1.4 fixed that issue for me and now 1.8 is even more successful on my rig which drivers me crazy, because now when all seems to work I have to play it more and more. xD I never said I think this game is crap. It isn't. It was just given out in crappy condition.

Yea I had the exact same problems when it first came out, had to change my account name to actually get the limited edition content...but its strange that after all that frustration when it came out, I stuck with it, and here I am hooked...I really can't stop playing...at its core its a really good game, whether it be PC, console, whatever, its just sad that the PC community was expecting so much and really got so little(for a PC game) compared to the first game...its good to see that they are correcting problems and even adding DX11. m not that excited about it, if its not opitimized well it can really ruin a lot, the only true DX11 card is those $700 bohemoths, aka gtx590, so if you have one great, but Im still living off a GTX460, until fall or christmas, or whenever I really need it, even BF3 won't need crazy specs, and believe me that will be a console port as well.

Accumulative FPS games tends to have that effect. FYI, millions of people have the same problem with CoD and even more millions with MMO games.

You're lucky. I never got my stuff. The support ignored me. Now I'm giving it my all to get a reboot to get the cell-skin.
So, yeah, I'm also playing like crazy, but because of another reason than yours...

I liked some parts of singleplayer, but it was nothing special... but Multiplayer is AWESOME! I could play MP for dayz, and I don't even have to eat, drink, or sleep :D I think I'm in symbiosis with my nano-PC lol

This thread, especially the OP, makes me smile. I've finished the SP campaign like 12 times now, it still never gets old.

It's probably the gameplay, which is probably why the army is using this engine now.

I miss one thing from crysis, and that is the customisation of weapons.

In the old crysis and Warhead you had complete control of how you changed your weapon.

Now it feels and is more restricted. :(

Otherwise
