screw this **** feature,most of the players do not know at all about how to vote ,crytek should fix this **** and put this feature on the menu instead of pressing the console button. Some of the players even did not know what is console button,****!!

your not the only one. I'm running an Alien m17x-r2 with win7x64, and the console just does not want to open no matter what i do.

I agree with the people saying that we need a GUI for the kick vote feature, but complaining and whining about it won't get anywhere, instead how about you try sugesting ideas.

example:
to initiate a vote, hold tab, then right click on a player's handle (which could open a drop down box with the option to initiate a votekick, maybe have a freind request option as well). and to vote either yes or no, players hold tab and press either F1 or F2 (respectively). maybe there could be a titlebar under the scoreboard that has the detais of the current vote on it.

I'm no programmer, so i have no idea how hard any of this will be, but it can't be harder than having programmed a game.

So as previously noted in the patch details, the 1.4 patch includes a vote kick function however there seems to be a bit of confusion as to what this entails exactly. The vote kicking function operates via console commands. It's not a HUD/GUI type setup.

How to initiate a kick:
? Open your console with (~) or (`) key by default.
? Type in votekick playername (where playername is the name of the player you wish to kick) and press enter.
? You can also hit TAB to complete a sentence, so type the first few letters of the players name then hit TAB.
? A message will appear on screen: "Vote to kick playername initiated"

How to vote:
? Open your console with (~) or (`) key by default.
? Type in vote and press enter.
? You don't need to use vote yes or vote 1.
? In order to vote no, simply don't vote at all.

Information:
? Required Votes for successful kick - 51%
? Default timeout for kicked user is 10 minutes. You will not be able to rejoin the same server in that time.
? 3 minute cooldown before user can call another vote if unsuccessful.

Please let us know if you have any difficulties with the vote kicking system or suggestions on how it could be improved!

This is retarded. It should just be F1 for yes F2 for no.

Crytek you failed again to make a descent vote system.

It svcks as bad as the last one.

Second of all players who own a server should always be able to doe a admin kick, wich kicks the player imediatly. today i met a fukin anoying cheater who had speed like woody wood pecker and killed everyone in the server at once every 5 seconds. This is bull$hit. people with cheats especially in ranked servers should get cd key on a black list and should be blocked without a warning and permanently. the same way COD does. people like i met today are serious threads of the community and cab bring the whole online game experience down in days... take wars for example. only a few weeks were needed for people to leave.

You can keep building anti cheat software. you need to ban the fukers. this will be a serious signal to all the players that are cheating at the moment...

And fot god sake remove the cheaters from the leader board. those you can start to give a permanent ban!

Game is already nearly dead. Look at the Steam stats: peak is about 600 players today... 2 months after release... on a Saturday xD
Crytek doesn't give a sh!t about the PC players... they got our money (well, at least they got mine), thats all that counts for them.

Its just pathetic what they "did" to us... yeah, I know its "just a game" but still they gave promises to us...
Every other company not selling virtual goods would be bankrupt now... thats my opinion.

And to contribute to the topic of this thread: still no one knows how to use vote kick... cheaters are still everywhere.

Crysis 2 = MAXIMUM FAIL

I tried to initiate a votekick but after I entered the console and typed in the first three letters of the name, I hit the TAB key but nothing happened.
I then typed in the full, correct name and hit enter but I got an unknown command.
What am I doing wrong?

Reporting a cheater (on lobby chat) can make you kicked from the server.

vote kick is so f***ed up, nobody knows (or doesn't want) to initiate it. I've witnessed some aimbot cheater "ITA Terror31" with HMG tearing server appart for whole 3 matches straight and nobody couldn't do anything.

Was in game this evening and boomijustshotyou or whatever was in the same session. Everyone tried to vote kick him and no matter what it wouldn't start. As soon as I went to console my console would close and so did everyone elses. One other player taunted him about the "new patch notes" and needless to say left us all w/a wtf kind of puzzlement when he wasnt able to be kicked..................nice patch

How do you now that everyone elses console would close :S? Maybe it is a server side problem, I highly doubt it is because of the patch...

Yea I guess I didnt think of that but theres were only maybe 5 other ppl in the room. Icant say for sure everyone tried to kick him but Id say atleast 3 maybe 4 but I cant be sure.....

Why don't crytek ban the ` from new user accounts?

Simple fix and no need for an new update.

By the way the workaround is obviously put a tilde key into notepad or something and copy before you start playing.

Then you can just ctrl + V into the console after votekick.

Hey guys, just so you know, we are aware of this and have already discovered a way around it, in addition to the already suggested methods.

If you type in votekick, press Space and then press TAB, you can cycle through the names of people in the server. Just TAB through till you get to the person you want then hit enter. TAB'ing saves you from having to type the whole name

You should make it like 70 %, it just gets abused like this. Was kicked from a server with people I played for 3 matches in a row, of course because I had an aimbot. Me, with my 4/4 KD.

my question is if the patch just came out and they updated and improved on there ant cheat. How come Boom was hacking 30 min after the patch came out. Explain that to me. Guys you really need to get a real anti cheat implemented before this game is dead. there have been a bunch of players that have left. I have a clan that all bought the game and will not come back to playing this unless crytek can prove they are using a anti hacking software. People are so sick of hackers. We bought a game for pc without anti cheat software. that might work on the consoles but if you send a game out on a pc without say PunkBusters then that is asking for the game to die a quick and painful death.
