I'm a little bit afraid for Crysis 2, are you?

Many of the newest games are getting poor ratings (but not falsely) I was very surprised to see that Killzone 3 was given an 8.5. I really don't care about what critics say because if I'm a fan of the game, I'll play it.

What's worrying me though is the amount of flaws in the games, are game developers getting too comfortable with the success of their past title(s)? In my opinion Crysis 2 looks very good and Crytek is really great for taking the extra step to deliver a phenomenal experience to the fans.

I am not saying Crysis 2 won't have a few minor flaws, (which game doesn't have em?) I just hope there aren't any major flaws that really ruin the game and give it a score it doesn't deserve.

That's the reason for the open beta testing: to catch smaller bugs that the Dev's might have missed. Any time you throw software out into the real world, weird things are going to happen. Even on "Closed systems" such as consoles, because of small variants in components or minor bios revs to fix previous issues, problems occur. Crytek released a statement some time ago as to why they believe in open beta testing. they are committed to quality and their craft. Look at what this game engine can do. It is hands down THE best in the industry. look at how much better Cryengine 2 improved from Crysis to Warhead. How many companies give their engines an overhaul between add-on material? (yeah i know it was stand alone software ;) ) All the same.. what.. 2 or 3 tops? Blizzard, and ID are about the only ones I know of that come close to this kind of service.

So yeah, to be sure there will be a few bugs, but in 6 months, no one is going to care. >: )

So, in the meantime, go have some nice green tea and wait pensively like the rest of us! Cheers! ;D

It's a 70/30 for Sp and 40/60 for Mp in the terms of Crysis 2....

SP might be decent ( Of course we don't know, we haven't even seen a PC screencap). As for MP, I really couldn't rate it, cause I hate COD with a passion.

I am a tad afraid for the MP, but the SP looks awesome.

Atleast the multiplayer is getting pre-release services to catch some early bugs. Hopefully that can translate into a Day1 patch from Crytek on the retail release and some continued patch support after 6 months to keep the community alive.
