where are we now

Post » Sun May 15, 2011 2:04 pm

I have read threads lately that claim that Crysis 2 is dying out on the mp side. Not so. I just went to gamespot.com and it lists it as the 4th most played FPS right now. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/crysis-2/index.html?tag=topten%3Ball%3B10

Quit posting the dying out posts as they are wrong. It has actually moved up from 5th to 4th. If we continue to put the game down, then yes it will die out as we saw with Medal of Honor - another great game with lots of potential. Lets keep it alive and yes they will patch it. Optimism will go much farther than negative posts.

That's the last 30 days. Which even more so proves that the MP community is dying because the Major Nelson report is from just last week. So if it went from #4 to #13 in two weeks that's pretty pathetic.

Actually today it is # 9 on gamespot. Homefront isnt even on the poll, for instance and Black Ops is # 1. That goes to show what all this means - nothing.

Nah, comparing the two means nothing. Simply cause we barely know what they're based on. However, Major Nelson's is based on UU's and gamespot is based off of the hours played. Both are relevant just not really in comparison. What is funny tho is that GoW3 BETA has twice as many hours of play time than crysis2 lol

UU's are more reliable, and I'd say major nelsons report is more reliable considering he is from Microsoft itself.

I made a claim that it SEEMED to be dying out. Whether or not it is, I wouldn't know. I hope it's not.

Regardless, it's sad, crysis2 had a lot of potential. It just got released in a terrible state and after a month with no real fixes everyone left. Maybe had the developers communicated. RIP Crysis2

On another note, if the game does die out entirely... I highly doubt it has anything to do with posts on these forums...

I'm willing to bet that not even a fraction of the people that picked up C2 bother coming here... If the game dies, it's fully due to Crytek's poor customer service and EA's rushed releases.
