this area is off limits to all non-humans

i loath how the AI's accuracy is based on your character's progress ...

"congratulations on making level 20 ... in recognition of your hard work and achievements we've decided to repeatedly shoot you in the head from around the corner and down the stairs."
UGH!

while i understand and applaud your efforts to "FILL" the games ... it would be nice to have an 8x8 option w/o being chased by a flock of circus marksman.

I do hate those corner traversing headshots.

You're a funny guy, guy. I guess I see what you're saying. But I play Big Teams so I don't with much with the lousy AI.

Hey, maybe you play we'll see each other on the battlefields. I play PSN, my PSN ID is same as posting name.

You get into full human matchups on Big Teams? Lucky, lucky. 95% of the time it's just me, the bots and the occasional player that backs out a few minutes later.

I've played PVP big team matches a lot since PSN has been back up. In fact, that's the only place I find games with other people aside from playing with my friends. But yea, I agree 100% with ya' imaybeclason. The Rank 5 bots are superhuman. And forget about trying to ambush them. Even if your in a position where if it where a human player and it's a guaranteed kill (such as sneaking behind them completely unseen), the moment you take a single shot, they turn and eviscerate you. Then you get that lonely feeling as the brink jingle plays and they put you out of your misery.

Couldn't agree with you more OP. Even had them shoot me through walls/solid objects before.

OH, and you gotta love the AI who wield a Hammer/Moss Shotgun and INSTANTLY snap to you while you try a sneak attack and blow you away in the blink of an eye. (They won't even be LOOKING in your direction whatsoever, you get close and BLAM! frikkin' absurd...)

When we're accusing the bots of wallhacks, you know the devs took their "AI that acts like humans" tagline a little too seriously... :shifty:

I was saying the same thing to a friend on XBL yesterday and he told me that if you use the light step ability, or whatever it's called, the AI dumb down for some reason. that was while I was playing a game of Acquarium as the Resistance (good way to farm XP at the second part of the level) I coulnd't stand up from behind the counter without getting headshot'd by all 8 enemy AI. I was so frustrated that I backed out and got the light step ability and it was like the AI all had the Downs I was actually able to stand up and spray everything with my Vector and UMP, both had drum magazines btw.

Bots have the Shining. They know you are there even when their back is turned. They can do a 180 and 3 shot you dead in a flash. You can run past enemy turrets if you don't shoot at them. Just like the Bots, getting their attention only makes them angry.

They don't have any better vision than human players, but they can use their abilities more effectively than humanly possible. Mostly that they react with more precision than humans, and have infinite turning speed without compromising on precision the way humans with high sensitivity do.

If you show up on radar (run without Silent Running, or shoot without a Silencer), they'll turn to face your direction. If you're in a position where there's only one level you could possibly be at, the bot will be aiming the right height already, otehrwise they'll aim in the middle of the possible options, and just snap to the right height when you come into view. If you line up on them without showing up on the radar, Combat intuition will kick in and they'll instantly shoot you. If you manage to get a shot off before they have time for any of this to happen (pro tip: deliberately break radar invisibility before taking the shot, and make sure you're outside radar range), then the damage indicator works like CI does to give direction - and the bots can read CI and damage indicators better than humanly possible as well...
