House Upgrades

In Fallout 3; you could buy furniture upgrades for your house such as a fridge to keep drinks cold; a work bench to make weapons and a few other things that I can’t quite think of at the moment.

I think this could work well in Skyrim.

It has already been mentioned that you will be able to cook (possibly to increase the potency of the food); so I presume you will have some sort of oven (or maybe a food equivalent of the mortal & pestle).

I was thinking that perhaps you could purchase a work bench for alchemy; this would be a place where you could store all of your ingredients etc. and could be shown on top of the bench; or an oven if cooking is your thing. I’m sure there’s plenty of other things like this that may be worth the investment that could suit the particular playing style of the user.

It would also be good to be able to purchase extra chests for general storage and manikins/weapon racks to show off your equipment.

Now I wouldn’t want it to become like the Sims where you could completely redesign the house (although I’m sure some people would like that); but I think a bit of customisation would give you a unique house.

Mannequins and weapon racks = YES PLEASE, but only if I can place them on my own.

Yes! More useful furniture - something like bookshelves, weapon racks, alchemy benches. Maybe u could craft a bearskin rug or something. Things like this would be great rather than just some decorations, a bed, and a catch-all chest.

Well, I believe that Obllivion and FO3 allowed one to purchase/obtain stylized kits to furnish one's home.

It seem probable that we will at least get that function.

I would prefer to be able to purchase, or craft, and then place individual furniture pieces.

Accessories, such as lamps, plates, pots 'n' pans, and etc. will probably be "found" throughout the game world.

I agree that mannequins would be a plus.

I'd like some sort of garden like there is at the arcane university in Oblivion. It would be really helpful to be able to grow your own plants instead of having to go out and find them whenever you're low on something. Mannequins to display armor would be good too.
