Problems Using GECK Wiki Website

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 12:57 am

Hello,

I have been a frequent and registered user of the GECK wiki (website), but recently I have been having odd problems (about starting May 28).

To start, I have Windows Vista 32-bit.

Using Internet Explorer 8 or 9, I might be able to load some GECK wiki pages (always the main page works), for example, about Navmesh, but then I might try to load another and I will receive the HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. Sometimes, like now, I am able to load seemingly all pages normally, but not any images. I will have the privacy settings at medium (allowing most third-party cookies) or even allowing all cookies et cetera, and nothing seems to change.

Similarly, with Firefox 4, it can't load images and currently not even pages other than the main. Interestingly, it used to work before completely, as it was my solution rather than using IE. And, its settings allow cookies.

So, what's going on? Its pretty annoying because I still heavily depend upon reference to use the actual GECK program. I can't seem to find anything about problems with in on the internet. Furthermore! my password for my GECK account stopped working, and I was led to make a new one (the wiki password reset option was not on the GECK wiki to my knowledge... :S). My internet is very sketchy and there is certainly something or things wrong with it, but when it works it is fairly good (that is, I often have to refresh web pages because they won't load first try). I have just (June 4) reformatted my computer (not in due to this problem).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Firefox simply will load blank pages, and if I attempt to view the pages source its also a blank page (that is if the page didn't load).
EDIT: So, looking on the Recent Changes tab for the GECK wiki, there hasn't been ANY since May 26, about the time I started having difficulty...
