Fat People in New Vegas

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 12:20 am

why aren't there any fat people in New Vegas I mean every character has pretty much the same body type within each gender. also I do know that alot of people are starving in the Fallout Universe but there are rich people who could get fat.

I'm hoping Fallout 4 will have more body types.

Otherwise, I'd ask Cook-Cook where the New Vegas fat people are...

Um, really? Is this important enough to warrant discussion?

The original Fallout had Gizmo, who was very much overweight.

I suppose I wouldn't mind more body types though, if only to add some variation.

Technical reasons, if you make body types, you have to make every piece of clothing fit every body type. So if you had a pair of pants, a t shirt, and a jacket on, and the game had skinny, muscle, fat, thats 9 seperate skins right there, one for each build.

In game wise, I don't really care about how fat someone is, I never bothered to think about it

Yes i often wondered that also it makes no sense to have NO fat people at all.

They all got eaten! Ribs with fat on them cook up much better than ribs, and meat without fat. I would think that in a world such as fallout that people would not worry about their fat and salt intake.

Yeah, the White Gloves ate them all.

In a world where food is scarce and people scavenge for a living I just don't picture fat people in a post-apocalyptic setting unless they were some overlord or king or something.

Long time ago, medieval times for example, being fat equals being wealthy. To be able to more food than needed to survive. And I see many people in Fallout that are wealthy enough to be able to eat more than they need as they sit safe in some stronghold. So I could see wealthy, fat people. Like Gizmo. He couldn't even get out of his chair, he just ran the casino and his gang from there.
