Human players on the scoreboard have a lag-o-meter beside their name. Also, in game, human player names I believe are in bold font whereas bots' names aren't.

Bots typically have single names like "Harrison" spelled properly with a capital letter at the front and the rest lower case.

On Xbox, most humans have weird names like Jbob75 (Numbers and extra cap'd letters are always a dead give away). I'm guessing it's close to the same on PSN. PC... I think you can use what ever name you want on Steam, so good luck with that.

This.

There's a head silhouette next to the bot names, and a bar next to player names - colour coded to show how good the connection is.

Here are the other ways you can tell if you're playing with bots in online "multi-player":

1. If they are facing a wall and shooting the floor, and then they stand still while you spray them with bullets, they are bots.
2. If they flock to capture a command post when the primary objective is in desperate need of attention, they are bots.
3. If you are not playing Competitive Mode, they are all bots; because whey on earth would Splash merge lobbies and give you a snowball's chance in hell to play a multi-player game with other players? That would be INSANE...in a MULTI-PLAYER GAME...in the year 2011 no less.

Just go by the fact that these guys have managed to code the most discusting ai in history, which goes somethign like (target=true=never miss=2shots your dead=1000yrds away i instantly know your there as you round the corner) I dont even look at names. After the "so called patch" it worsened 1000 full. The opposing ai is godlike and never missing and your ai has came down with down syndrome. medics dont heal, none of them complete any mission, none of them guard you. ITS absolutly horrible the ai. Add the still laggy servers and you have brink. We showed you lots of shiney videos, promised you everything and delivered minimal for your 60 bucks. Can you tell im upset with this game?

Humans tend to do all of those things as well. Humans are fairly awful at the game compared to bots, humans often will entirely ignore the primary objective if they're not the right class, and humans tend to switch to solo mode if they don't feel like looking for a match from the enormous though mostly empty server list on PC.

Hit start. Go to scoreboard. It will list the names. Green or Red/Orange bar near name is a human. Hit RB. Same for enemy team.
